> 3 dayExactly what you would expect from a WD nvme drive. Hoping the red line has great always on longevity as this is now the OS drive in a home server.

08-06-2025Bought 4 drives in August of 2020 for RAID10. Using LSI RAID controller. Today March 4th, 2021 one drive failed with tons of CRC errors, and the LSI controller unable to fix it or rebuild. It is not the port, because I replaced it with another drive and the port is working properly. I am losing faith in WD. First, they lied about SMR vs CMR drives, now they sell SSD, which are not capable to live even for a year. Also bought their EasyStore 240 GB drive at BestBuy, and it failed in less than a month. WD makes garbage drives.

Greater than one weekI have 2 of these in a RAID1 equivalent in ZFS running in a QNAP TVS-872XT. One was dropping out about once a week after 7 months of use. Luckily I could pull it, wait a few minutes, and put it back in to rebuild in a few seconds (the beauty of ZFS). Because WD wants to charge money for advanced RMA, I bought a new replacement and put it in (a big mistake in hindsight). A couple weeks later the other drive starts acting up. It had not dropped out of the RAID until today, 9 months old. What good is a 5 year warranty on a NAS specific disk if I have to keep replacing it. QuTS reports that it has 95% life left. Yeah, right. So one is out for RMA, one is 2 weeks old working, and the other will be RMAd as soon as the first replacement arrives. Good thing Ill have a spare on the shelf at all times.

> 3 daySuper fast we are not using it for gaming. We are a large format printing company that handles huge files and shouldve bought them before.
