Ill be honest. I already had a second controller. I only really bought this for the shooting game, which is pretty much a 3 minute revision of the original Duck Hunt. After playing all the games, the shooting one is still my favorite. The last level is the best. I also loved the Tank game. If you ever played Combat on the Atari, youll appreciate this one too. The other games are kind of weak. The Pool game is nothing more than a 3D version of Yahoo! Pool. The cow race is hilarious, but I imagine its going to get old quick. Table tennis is nothing special... its like Pong on steroids. Theres a air hockey game called Laser Hockey or something. The Mii Match and Pose are okay for starters, but if youre not new to the system, youll find it very annoying. Fishing was also really dumb... even for beginners. The tank and duck huntesqe games make it worth while with the controller though. If youre buying the system for a parent or someone who hasnt played since the glory days of Nintendo, this is a great game to give with it.

We got the Wii Play for our 6 yr. old sons birthday. We also wanted a 2nd remote so this worked well. The kids have fun with all the games. For an adult, they arent as exciting as other Wii games but still fun. My favorites are the cow racing, the shooting range, laser hockey and fishing. Our least favorites are finding Mii and pose Mii. I like that these dont take as much time. Theyre great when you have just a little time to play and you dont want anything too intense. Overall a lot of fun!

So the Wii Play games may be simple, but theyre fun. And considering youre getting a Wii Remote WITH the games, this purchase is a no-brainer. Depending on the price you pay, youre basically getting the game disc for anywhere from free to $10.00. Why buy a new remote by itself when you can get one with the Wii Play games? And if you dont want the games, you can always sell the disc on eBay and will probably end up making money in the process.

The Wii Play games are pretty fun and, for us, its worth the cost to have the billiards, ping pong, and ice hockey (they call it laser hockey). Wii Play on its own is probably not worth more than about $15-$20, but we bought because we also got the free remote. What I didnt realize--having gotten a Wii and another remote that had a rechargeable battery for the holidays--is that all remotes are not rechargeable. It seems one has to buy a separate battery pack, which costs another $10. Nintendo seems to have mastered the art of make them buy more.

I was fortunate to find this item on sale here for the same price as the Wii Remote. So it was a great value for me since I needed another controller. The games are not great however they meant to make you more familiar to handling the Wii Remote. Bottomline - If you need another remote and this package is on sale for the same price as the remote, buy it. Otherwise dont spend the extra $10.00.

For those who have recently purchased a Wii, this is a good way to get a second remote---and the games are just a bonus. These are also the kind of games that an amateur gamer or guest can easily pick up, so its a nice option to have around for playdates or family gatherings where not everyone is Wii-proficient. NOTE: from the box, it appears you are getting the remote alone, but it does come with the clear rubber jacket as well.

The best part of this game is the free remote. If you are planning on buying another remote, go ahead and buy this game for the extra $10. However, dont buy it just for the games. The graphics are poor and the games arent that challenging. The best part of the game is that you can keep stats with your competitors as you play (wins/losses).

Bought this just for one reason - Wii Remote. Remote alone costs 39.99 and this item is 44.99 in amazon. So, $5 for the game (Wii play CD). The game is not good. May be for kids. For adults, it dont make no sense to buy. I would have rather bought Wii Remote + Motionplus bundle for the same price because Wii play (the CD that comes in this bundle) is sitting in the shelf from day 2 since I bought! So, people who need a Wii remote, please do yourself a favor and buy the Black Wii remote with Motion plus bundle (Motion plus sells $18 by itself) instead of buying Wii remote with Wii play bundle. Both these bundles cost the same in amazon. With Motionplus, u can play tennis, golf and other games with more realism and more fun...

I dont mind the games. They are very entertaining for the kids to play on a rainy day. The preschooler especially likes them. I bought this pack though, because our remotes were dying (bit of overly rough treatment). It seemed like a great deal. I didnt realize when I ordered it that it wasnt the motion plus remote so it cant be used with all our games. It wasnt in the description. So beware of that one thing if you are looking for a new remote.

As most have said they did, we purchased this pack for the controller, figuring that the included games would be worth the $10 extra. They were, but dont expect too much. We love the cow game (its named Charge!, but our family calls it Crocheted Cow). The other games have some playability issues. One example is the billiards game. We had a difficult time using the Wii-mote in the way that is required to play the game. If youre in the market for an extra controller, this could be a decent deal for you.
