Wii Play is a fun, interactive way to challenge your friends in a non-violent contest of skill. Great game for all ages. It is not meant for single-player, but mainly for 2-4 players at a time. Some of the best games are Tanks, Charge, Laser-hockey and Duck Hunt (there is no blood and only about 3 ducks, mostly targets, in Duck Hunt). This is a good deal because you get the game and the controller (a $90 value).

This game is just okay... I purchased this for my 8 year old son. He enjoys it sometimes. Its not the game he pulls out to play all the time. It was mainly purchased for the free remote. The games lack substance. They are short and not that fun at any age. Several folks in my household have played the variety of games on the disc and all have agreed.

This game should be packaged with the Wii itself. It is FANTASTIC for learning how to use the remotes. Its also fun if you just need a few minutes to chill. Beyond that it gets dull fast. Played it for hours when we got it. Then I was pretty much over it for good. Oh, it has a nice variety of games, but each game has only one variation. After youve run the gamut youre done. There are no expansion levels, no real options. Kids will get a kick out of it, especially in groups. Just dont expect it to hold their attention long.

I bought this because it was the same price as just purchasing a Wiimote. I figured we were bound to get one good game out of it. I was right! For the most part, these games are quite good. There are 8 games, including: a variation on Duck Hunt (from the original NES system), Pool, Table Tennis (which was somewhat difficult to get used to and not very impressive), a tank/shooting game (not too impressed by this one either), a cow racing game (hilarious!), two different matching/dexterity games, and a fishing game (which we have yet to figure out). All of the games allow you to use the full functionality of the Wiimote (and sometimes the nunchuk). Its totally worth it. Even if you only end up liking one of the games, its the same price as just getting the controller. Go for it!

If you need an extra Wii remote, are fairly new to the Wii and are low on games, this is your best route in terms of value. The game itself, Wii Play, feels more like a simplified version of Wii Sports (usually already bundled with the Wii system). One of its original intentions was as a training game to get you accustomed to the Wii remote. I say original intention because they have tacked on some slightly more complex game play than the heres how to use your remote games. If you were able to pick up this game by itself, its not worth the bother. Adults and children alike will grow bored slightly faster than with other Wii titles. But for the extra $10 on top of the cost of the Wii remote - you are getting an extra game and a break from the other couple games you might own as a new Wii owner. I imagine if youve involved yourself heavily into Wii gaming and are just now looking into an extra controller, the extra $10 may not be the right money spent as the Wii Play games are really not suited or meant for someone with a lot of Wii gaming experience.

We bought this game at the same time we bought our wii console because it seemed like a great deal - we needed a second remote and for a few dollars more we were getting 9 games. We also bought it before reading the reviews - that was a mistake. When we first started it up (mind you, this is the first thing we played on our brand new wii) we both thought it was kind of neat that they had a whole set of short DEMO games to help you learn how to use the remote(s). We went through those in short order (20 to 30 minutes) and took a break for lunch. We came back and were ready to play the real games only to find out that the demo games WERE the real games. I said to myself, That cant be but, in fact, it was. There is virtually no play value here and I am hard pressed to think of any reason why I might return to this set of games. This game should be advertised and sold as a Tutorial on using the WII remote that includes a second remote. If you are already familiar with using the WII remote (which you should be if you own a WII) then there is no reason to touch this package. Instead, simply buy yourself another remote.

We purchased the wii console for Christmas for our kids and since it only came with one controller, we purchsed this game because it came with the additional remote, the game was fun and the kids enjoy it, the games are not as intense as some of the other wii games but its pretty fun; the only drawback is only two players can play at a time.

I just got a Nintendo Wii that came with Wii Sports and needed another remote so I got this bundled product. I did some research before buying it and I found that in Japan it is actually called Introduction to Wii in Japan ([...], scroll down to the part where the interview is asking why they used the word training for Links Crossbow) so I knew exactly the quality of the game I was getting. This, I think, made it more fun because I wasnt expecting some wondrous game. I take it for what its worth and its a bunch of little games to show you how to use the remote. Thats it plain and simple. Most are pretty fun too!

amazon shipped this really quick to me when i expect stock to be low, but there seems to be more wii play available than i thought around retailers. initially i wanted to get another wiimote but for $10 more i would spend it for a game like wii sports, full of mini games. unfortunately there can only be 2 players playing at the same time but the games might not work as well with more players.. i think the games are fun whether or not they fully make use of the unique features of the wiimote + nunchuk or attachment. the last game with tanks is addicting to me and difficult ! since these are mini games they can get boring easily, so keep playing but not too much and its still fun ! like other people have mentioned, this is a good deal if you just want another controller.

As many people have said, buying this is basically for the extra remote. Many people have said that the titles arent fun, and I agree. However, young children absoloutley love these games, such as my 4 year old and 7 year old. The wii remote itself is $40, so the games are only 10 dollars extra. If you have children then I would definetly recommend this. If not, then these 9 games are not worth your 10 bucks.
