As others have said, this is pretty much a $10 game with a $35 remote. If I were the only person playing it, Id probably rate it 3 stars. However, the shooting mini-game is one of the few games my 3 year old can play comfortably on the wii. The simple interface and clear marker that appears on the screen helped teach him how to point the remote at the tv and [eventually] control its movement. He also really enjoys fishing, but controlling the rod is a little touchy so we need to help him get it back in the pond and keeping it steady. The other games are ok. My husband enjoys billiards and I like ping pong. Find Mii is pretty dumb. All in all Id recommend this for anyone in need of an extra remote and for those with smaller children that get frustrated with regular wii games that are still too advanced (and assuming youre comfortable with them playing target shooting games). Also, if you have the Wii zapper - it works well with the target shooting game. My 3 year old has better control with just the remote, but prefers the zapper because it feels more like one of his toy guns.

This is possibly the best purchase I have made online ever. The game comes with an extra Wii Remote, and is totally fun. It is more mini games you can play alone or with up to four people - things like billiards, lazer hockey, cow racing, and a shooting game similar to duck hunt. Since I couldnt find any Wii Remotes or Wii Play games for sale anywhere in my area I was thrilled to be able to order it on amazon for such a great price.

We got the Wii for Christmas (the ever-coveted Wii! YES!) and immediately struggled with what game to buy for our 7 and 3 1/2 year olds...we wanted something we could all play together, and something that wouldnt be too challenging. After a lot of debating and searching, Wii Play was chosen (mainly because it came with another wiimote). This is the perfect game for people just learning how to use the Wii. The whole purpose of the game is for you to learn how to controlt the wiimote. You learn how to twist it, and get comfortable learning how to play in 3D. Pool, however, is ADDICTIVE. My husband and I have spent a few nights now trying to out-do each other. Surprisingly, finding the Miis is the favorite game of both of my children. They love trying to find the Mii the fastest and giggling ensues once they start playing. I realized quickly that its great for them both, as it helps them to concentrate and look closely. Riding the cows is also a favorite, and I often walk in to find them on the floor laughing so hard they can barely breathe. I am extremely glad we got WiiPlay, and know that no matter how many other games we buy, well be playing the mini-games on this for a long, long time!

If you need another remote, you may as well just pay a few extra bucks for this bundle. The games are OK, there are a few worth playing even after you have mastered them. You can always trade the game in at GameStop or some other place for more credit than the game costs, so we bought 3 to get up to 4 controllers, got $7 each for 2 of the games (+ a $10 bonus) and ended up with 3 controllers, the Wii Play game and a game we really liked. Hard to go wrong when it costs just a few dollars more than the remote itself. Sometimes you can even get it with free super saver shipping, which I dont see offered much for the remote alone...

I ordered this so I could have a 3rd remote for my family (me, wife and son) as we only had 2 Wii remotes. I thought it would be nice to get a game thrown in for some extra fun on top of the controller, even though I knew from the reviews to not expect much. I was a bit dissapointed as this game was obviously created to teach you how to use the Wii controller and show off some of its capabilities but not really have any lasting impact. They should have INCLUDED this game for free with Wii Sports when you bought the system new. Only 10 games on here and only few are worth playing over again. All the rest are junk/fillers. Also the controller did NOT WORK AT ALL. I tried it with alkaline batteries and with my Nyko rechargabele battery pack and it would NOT SYNC.I hit the reset button and got it to flash the lights but still wouldnt work/SYNC, so this is GOING BACK for replacement. Hope the next one works or else I will just order the normal controller without the game. Maybe these are OLD OLD controllers as this game is old from 2006/2007. I had to play it with my other controller. Best Game - by far Pool/Billiards is the best and the one I play every day. The physics on it are true to life. You hit it harder or softer and it does it. You hit the ball below centerline or above and it puts the correct forward or backspin on the ball. Ive played pool over 25 years and I got pretty good at this game in a short amt of time since I know the angles needed to sink the ball and make good cut shots on the table and had the feel for how hard to hit it. Still trying to beat my high score of 42 points (only took 12 shots to sink all 9 balls). The only thing I dont like about pool is you cant read the ball numbers easily and on the view from above the table, it doesnt let you hover over each ball or zoom to see which # it is so it makes it harder to plan your shot. If they fixed that flaw it would be perfect for the price. You have to sink them in NUMERICAL order 1 thru 9, so if you get a bad line of sight or get behind another ball and you dont hit the object ball first, you foul and lose 3 points. If you scratch the cue ball, same thing you lose points off your total score. Pretty challenging..and fun. For 2 player you trade shots if you miss. You gets points equal to the number shown on the ball, so if you sink ball 1 thru 3 thats only 6 points (1+2+3 so your opponent could win just by sinking the higher # balls even though they missed more shots than you earlier on, so dont MISS and turn over the cue ball if playing 2 player, just like in real pool. I mainly played single player The only other semi-games are: Duck Hunt, Tank Game, and Fishing. I wont go into details on these but they are OK games. Shoot the ducks and clay pigeons; Shoot the tanks and reel in the big fish. Pretty self explanatory. Tank shooting is pretty hard and you have to use some strategy until you get to a higher level then just shoot uzi style to hit something so you dont get killed by your enemies. The other ones Id say, play them once to try them and then say bye bye: Find Mii - pretty hard to find the matches or differnt Miis (like Wheres Waldo for Wii) Table Tennis - not like real table tennis so dont get excited. You can only move left and right and forward and backwards and cant spin or angle that easily. Wii Sports Resort table tennis will be amazing Im sure and put this to shame. Pose Mii - forget this one, It gave me carpel tunnel syndrome in a short time. You have to twist your wrist too match the pose of your Mii and also gave mea headache as its a bit frustrating Charge - Like Mario Kart combined with Barn Yard theme. Cute but not so great. You really have to go go go and not slow down or you will never make it in time to finish. You ride on a cow and run over scarecrows and jump over hurdles and try to finish before time expires. I didnt like the fact that you had to play each one in THEIR chosen order, You cant select any of the games you want until you play it one time. Annoying. They want you to learn the controller at their pace thinking you arent smart enough :) After you post a score in each game then you can earn gold/silver/bronze medals in each when you earn a high score. Beat your highest score and earn a gold medal. This is the incentive to have you keep coming back to beat your high scores I guess. Id say buy the controller by itself if thats all you need (like me) and maybe save a few dollars unless you really want a semi-decent pool game, because thats all it will be good for me. My son might play a few games and like them more. haha it is after all HIS Wii :) (40 year old dad writing this review) Rent it first to try it out if you really want the games.

I bought this since I needed another Remote, and figured Id get a game along with it for 10$ essentially. I expected Play to be an extension of Sports, and for $10, you get what you pay for. The shooting game is fun, as is Pool, the Rodeo game, and Fishing, but this is definitely a very short, limited (2 player only) multiplayer game.

Lets RE-Lay out the facts. Wii Play costs about 5 bucks more than a Wii remote. The Wii Play remote does come with the soft rubber cover, so you are getting the same product. What the heck are some of these whiners expecting from the games for less than five bucks? It seems like theyre expecting them to perform like one of the high end game$$. I actually enjoy most if not all of these simplistic games and play them extensively with my 7 year old daughter. Yeah, theyre kinda cheesy. For five bucks, what do you expect?? If youve got a young kid or like a bit of cheesy entertainment, this package is a great value. If you are a real Gamer, just get the remote and spend the money on your more fancy game$. After some apprehension reading some of the negative reviews, I do not regret this purchase one bit.

Friends said that wed want more Wii remotes -- and by buying this game, wed get some decent games along with the free remote that comes in the package. Overall, its a great deal -- and adds to your collection of Wii games. (The Wii comes with Wii sports; and this package gives you Wii play). Good deal overall! The Wii Play games arent quite as fun as the classics on Wii Sports -- but younger children DO love Wii play.

The remote is of course the main point of the purchase. Having more than 1 remote for the Wii really brings the gameplay to a whole new level. Highly recommended. As for Wii Play. Most of the games are very basic, and shallow. Two standouts are tanks and lazer hockey. But thats not to say theyre not entertaining. As long as you have 2 people playing competitively, the game is actually very fun. Its a good party game and breaks away from the somewhat monotony of Wii Sports.

I received the Wii Play with Wii remote today. Following are the contents of the package: 1)Wii remote with Jacket 2)Wii Play game disk. 3)Instruction manual for Both Wii remote and Wii Play Games. I was able to play for only 5-10 minutes then we had to leave for shopping. So far so good, might update more later. Now regarding excellent customer service from amazon.com, I had checked with Amazon.com whether the unit comes with Remote Jacket and they told me it does not. So I kept my order with Amazon merchant for Remote jacket as it is. When I got the unit the Jacket was in there so I called amazon and they readily refunded the order total for my jacket only order. Its awesome. Amazon always make sure that the customer end the call with a happy face. Thanks Amazon !!
