> 24 hourHad no idea there were differences in garden trowels/garden spades til I tried this one as recommended by The Sweethome. They were right-- this is very, very nice.

> 24 hourAnother example of the importance of attention to form and function. Meaningful features, appropriately durable materials, well-assembled and fairly priced.

> 24 hourThis tool is very strong and sturdy! It is a good size, not small at all. It is thick and the metal is sturdy. It has a sharp edge for digging in tough dirt. I bought it for my metal detector finds, knowing I would be going through hard dirt, and I am very pleased with it!!! If you want thick and sturdy with a sharp edge, get this one! The handle is padded and comfortable protection. There is a rope attached so you can hang it on your wrist or other. I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOOL FOR METAL DETECTION DIGGING IN HARD DIRT.

> 24 hourThis trowel was purchased for use while metal detecting. It is lightweight yet very sturdy. While the edges are not serrated, the size and shape of the blade allows for easy digging while not making an overly large hole. That it is made in the USA is a welcome bonus!

> 24 hourI am an avid gardener. This little towel is tough. Been using it for a few months. I live in the Pacific northwest and this thing shows no sign of rust so far. I keep it outside on my potting table. Its so tough, I let my husband use it... He breaks everything!!!

> 24 hourI bought this to take with me backpacking. I know the Duece is much lighter, but I’m not into ultralight backpacking just yet. I wanted something sturdier with a better handle for harder packed dirt that I could also use to help dig spots for tent stakes. This worked well for that. It is a bit narrow and won’t be as good at scooping dirt out of the hole as a wider trowel. But it worked fine. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase

> 24 hourThe best feature about this tool is that it really feels solid and heavy duty. I dont see how you could ever break it and thats exactly what I was looking for! Highly recommend!

> 24 hourPerfect little tool, especially for planting.

keep it simple
> 24 hourThis thing will probably outlive me as it is so well made. I like a narrow sharp trowel for use in containers and for transplanting. This will get a lot of use. The depth markings on the blade are useful. I plan to store it out of the sun so the plastic handle stays nice. Looks like Id better put it in my will.
