> 24 hourI love this trowel. It is sharp to cut small root, long enough to dig deep, large enough to scoop good amount of material.

> 24 hourI purchased this for wife, who loves to work in our flower and vegetable gardens. We have broken MANY trowels over the years - we have tough soil to work with in SC. This trowel has performed very well for the past year and I expect it will for years to come. Great for breaking up ground, comfortable rubber grip. Good buy for the money.

> 24 hourThis is not a trowel for a delicate flower. This trowel is heavy and the sharpened edge is, indeed, sharp. This is a tool and I believe it will last forever which is a huge plus in my book. I have a smaller Wilcox trowel that I have loved for years. It looks pretty much the same as the day I bought it due to the simple one-piece construction and no nonsense heavy grip. Even the incised name and measuring increments are crystal clear. This new trowel is made the same way. I thought at first I was going to have trouble with the weight, but like so many tools, if you let the tool do the work its actually easier on you. The first time I used it I came across a root. Not a problem. No getting up and going to get another tool - I just let the weight of the trowel help me hack right through that root and went on about my business. The length of the blade is a big help with the lovely chirt-infested-clay that we have here since you can lever away to break up the soil with all its little rocks and not be concerned about snapping off the handle. The point of the blade is sharp enough to penetrate the soil without great effort (another time to let that weight help out) and really cuts down planting time as Im not chipping away like I have to with the lighter weight trowels. I think this will become a favorite alongside the smaller Wilcox. I will be constructing a heavy-duty leather sheath for it as the edge is quite sharp and accidents happen.

> 24 hourThis trowel is pretty heavy duty, and is made in the USA. Cant go wrong.

> 24 hourTo say that Im rough on gardening tools would be an understatement. My friend purchased this trowel for me after I broke what was supposed to be a heavy-duty trowel. I have used this tool for three years now and except for the dirt on it, it still looks new. Despite my brutish ways when gardening this trowel doesnt even have the slightest bend in it. I LOVE IT! Do yourself a favor and buy one before your next big gardening job.

> 24 hourThese are great trowels. They are sturdy without being excessively heavy and no rust or bending in the middle.

> 24 hourI have been looking for yonks for a sturdy trowel with a sharp point at the end. And lo and behold I found the Wilcox one. The photo shows a sharp point and better yet it is American made. My trowel arrived today. I had no problems with sticky tape affixed to the trowel. The quality appears great. In fact everything looks great except for my number one priority desire in a trowel and that was my disappointment. .... IT IS NOT POINTED BUT ROUNDED. For this reason I am giving a two star rating. If it was pointed it would have been rated 5 stars. What a bummer. Sadly, I am returning the trowel. I have attached photos of my item.

> 24 hourThis is a very durable garden trowel. It is large enough to do the job, but small enough to be a hand tool. I have gone through so many of the less durable products - I just wanted something I could put some force against, and it wouldnt break. This fills the job. Very happy with much purchase.

> 24 hourThe bee’s knees. I use this as a weed-popper for the small trees that Spring up in my lawn: super-strong and FAR superior to alleged weeding tools that fold like a cheap suit when faced with confident weeds.
