This trowel was purchased for use while metal detecting. It is lightweight yet very sturdy. While the edges are not serrated, the size and shape of the blade allows for easy digging while not making an overly large hole. That it is made in the USA is a welcome bonus!

I would liked that the soil do not stick on the shovel. Hence, efficacy of the shovel decreases

I know this sounds sad, but I actually researched this and many other trowels when looking for a replacement that kept bending under only modest loads. I can safely say that Im very happy with the Wilcox, it cuts, scoops, digs, AND even has a measuring scale to see how deep your hole really is. There have been absolutely no problems with it so far, and I heartily recommend this for anyone looking for a STURDY trowel.

This trowel is pretty heavy duty, and is made in the USA. Cant go wrong.
