We’ve played on Blade 4’s for a number of years, and it came time for my husband and I to invest in our own board. Read about the new Blade 5, and thought, why not. This is the Blade 4, only better. The new wiring allows for ALL darts to land, and stick. The wires are much thinner than previous boards and we have not had a dart bounce out. Also, the new Rota-Lock system helps mount the board perfectly. We’re also able to adjust the board while it’s on the wall, without removing it. This is a next generation board, and it stands at the top of anything Winmau has created over the years. We love our Blade 5!

Finally got a new board for the garage, this board is the best out there period. No other board can compare. I play in a dart League 30 mins east of Atlanta, all of our bars that have teams use this same board. Love the finger wheels on the back, love the thin wire. Can’t beat a blade 5 period. Got it at great price, should have bought more than one is my only disappointment

Simply amazing, this board. Built to be resilient and take punishment. Our household consists of a variety of skill levels, from those who have never played, the journeymen. I’m kidding: we’re not even that good. Banter aside, this board is the real deal. Turning/rotating the board every few weeks has prolonged its life incredibly. It doesn’t look worn at all. Yes, this board does have a lofty price tag but I do assure you that it is well worth the cost. We’ve been through a litany of dartboards, some at premium costs and some priced more conveniently, and within months, they all look dilapidated and torn to heck. Not this board. Goes without saying, drop the extra few quid on this board.

Love this board so far. Received yesterday and had it up and ready in an hour. Installation usually wouldt take this long but had to cut siding on screen porch wall and add a piece of wood to make sure the mount stuck out far enough. This method worked great. I LOVE the adjustable Rota-Lock leveling screws. This prevented me from having to screw at least 3 other pieces of wood into the wall. I can now easily remove the dart board and place inside when not in use. Since humidity is the enemy, this should help it last a bit longer. The leveling system alone is worth the extra $8 to get the Blade 5 board vs. the Diamond Plus board. I played two games of Cricket so far and not a single bounce out. Will update after some time has passed to see how it holds up.

Got this dartboard the other day. Despite the few bad reviews saying that the board they received was messed up etc.. I went with the good ones and ordered it. Looks like I won the gamble because I couldn’t be happier with this board. Not a single blemish. Mounting was super easy and it looks extremely good and professional. I’d recommend this board to anyone

When they say self healing board they mean it. Our friends got a board so then we did of course!! We bought this one and you can’t even tell we use it a lot. Darts stick!!! Our friends board the dart pop out and it has holes everywhere. Very happy with the purchase.

I have owned a Winmau Blade 4 for approximately 8 years. Home recreational use only. It is still in good condition, with no blooming of the sisal or surface defects: white areas were getting dirty, and some minor flattening of the wedge wire around the bull area. Received the Blade 5 last weekend. Very simple to set up, as the central screw fits in the Blade 4 cradle already mounted in the dart cabinet (same size as the blade 5 mount). The rotolocks are easy to screw in to the back of the board and adjust - was set up and playing inside 5 minutes. The rotolocks are definitely a big improvement on the Blade 4 system. The new board arrived tight with no defects whatsoever, and colors are vibrant. Had not realized just how dirty the surface of the old board had got, mostly from chalk transfer I think. Thrown darts at it for a couple of hours now. Very pleased with the blade 5 so far. If it lasts as long as the Blade 4, I will be ecstatic! I only use smooth steel or titanium points on my darts - I can see that if you use the ridged or ringed points, although they may be slightly better at avoiding drop outs, there is increased risk of pulling sisal fibers out of the board when removing the dart which may shorten the life of the board. Just a thought.... UPDATE 4/9/2020 Been playing on the board for about a month now - probably practice on it for about 15-20 minutes a day. Board is holding up very well. Still no defects on the playing surface and colors are still bright. The sisal grips the dart points well. The rougher the shafts of the dart points are, the more resistance to pull the darts out of the board. This is practice so I dont really care if any drop out (not that any have) so I buffed the dart points using metal polish so its a little easier to pull them out. I want to be able to pull out the dart with one hand without touching the board itself - I dont want to have to put the other hand on the playing surface for leverage to pull the dart out - as that is probably how the dirt and chalk etc got the old Blade 4 board so grubby . I have rotated the board a couple of times to keep the wear even. Very happy so far, Great board UPDATE JULY 2020 - still using the board for practice 15-20 minutes a day (I am not getting much better, but not the fault of the board...!) Board still looks very good, no issues. I rotate it every week or so to keep the wear even (not that there really is any wear). Great board. Glad I bought it.

Used today for the first time and seems to be a quality made product. I would recommend this product if you are looking for quality dart board. The product was delivered as promised. I would highly recommend this seller and I would purchase from them again.

After reading both Amazon reviews and reviews from other websites, I decided to go with this Winmau Blade 5 board. Overall am happy with the initial appearance and playability of the board (no bounce-outs due to the angle and thinness of the spider and the paint lines are real crisp with no bleeding into other numbers), but the board is not self-healing. When I say that, I mean even after 3 days of not playing on this board, I still see the holes from previous games that occurred several days prior. My old board (non-Winmau) is over 20 years old and heals up overnight and I get to start fresh the next day with no prior holes. I am not sure if I got a bad copy or if the quality of Winmau has deteriorated over the years since those reviews were written. The next board purchase I make will not be a Winmau. Sorry, they missed on this one.

This is a really solid board, and the 3 mounting knobs are great. I had to use drywall anchors to mount the metal bracket. Couple things: this Blade 5 doesnt heal nearly as well as the Blade 4. I have to heal the holes manually, and its like fixing a divot on a putting green with a tee. Over time will this board get broken in, so that the holes heal? Im using 22 gram Peter Wright Snakebite darts. With heavier darts, its even more pronounced. Could it be the temperature? Its about 60 degrees in my basement where I have the board. I have hardly any bounce-outs with my dart and board combo. I cant see why anyone would buy a board with staples in it ever again. The Blade 4 and 5 are so well made. Its a joy to throw darts for an hour straight and get no bounce-outs. The last thing is the numbers, like the 5 and 3, arent well-formed and need updated, so they become more readable. Seems a lazy execution of the numbers. Maybe someone can tell me why the numbers have to be unclear like that. Otherwise, a great board.
