ive always had good experiences with Winsor Newton paints, been using them for years. oil paints have always been my preferred medium but i wanted to try something more fast drying. i have had experience with acrylics but found them a little too fast drying and unforgiving for me to work with. having heard good things about gouache i decided to give them a try but i really wasnt sure which brand to buy? there are a number of less expensive brands that come in higher quantity containers. i decided to buy the name product ive come to trust as well as

Not a painter, I wanted this for a white splatter effect on backgrounds for handcrafted cards. To resemble snow, stars or just a textured effect. It is very easy to use, is a lovely white and would probably be great for other painterly uses I may consider in the future.

Worked like it should, it’s pretty smooth and my professor recommends us to buy it. I used it for 3 projects by mixing with others colors and it did the job!

I have always been pleased with the Winsor-Newton brand of paints. This gouache is no exception. It is a good quality color that easily covers the layer below it, but still gives the option of mixing if so desired. I am very pleased with this purchase.
