> 3 dayas one who does repros of historic illuminations, finding true gouache has been difficult lately. Ive searched many many art supply stores and sites, and keep finding only acrylic gouache. Acrylics for some applications is fine, but not for mine. W&N brand is excellent (aka not cheap) but its the real deal. his is a heavy-pigment white, meant for painting over colors without bleed through. Even some standard gouaches do not have the needed opacity. Since Im not a paid professional, this is a great find.

18-04-2025I cannot get this gouache to stay opaque no matter how little water I use to put it on. Within seconds of painting it on dry paper, it fades and turns transparent. I had more luck using regular titanium white watercolor from Sennelier. Im still looking for a good, opaque white gouache. This wasnt it!

> 3 dayUsed for calligraphy. I’ve been a calligrapher for 40 years, 15 of them professionally and I can honestly say that ALL Windsor Newton PRODUCTS are first rate.

> 3 dayI bought this as a refill for my guache set, and the textures are completely different. This guache is really thick and gloopy. Also, when it arrived, it was significantly smaller than i thought it was going to be. Not worth the price, but it gets the job done.
