20-11-2024I use gouache along with watercolors, and I sometimes use white gouache to cover up already painted areas I dont like. This was my first time trying Winsor & Newton gouache. This gouache is creamy and spreads easily without needing to add a lot of water. It covers dry watercolor nicely, but is not completely opaque. The attached photo shows several thickly applied coats of white gouache over a very dark blue watercolor base. This white gouache can be mixed easily with different colors of watercolor to create interesting pastel shades, making it very versatile.

16-11-2024Worked like it should, it’s pretty smooth and my professor recommends us to buy it. I used it for 3 projects by mixing with others colors and it did the job!

> 3 dayThis product is great and works very well, my son’s only complaint was the smell, but he is overly sensitive to scents. I would recommend this gouache.

> 3 dayNice thick consistency and good quality pigmentation for use with other gouache colors or with watercolors. Winsor & Newton is great quality paints and consistent in quality.

> 3 dayThis is nice and smooth gouache and is a rich warm gold with good coverage. I use it for Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts and calligraphy. I bought a tube of Pebeo gold at the same time and I use it more often for burnishing, but the WN is a rich gold and I will use it up! I dont like that the red tint of the carrier separates from the pigment in the palette well and on the paper if there is a puddle of paint. Also, it wont burnish after drying. I do like the smooth rich gold tone!
