This product is fantastic, you can see the many reviews that talk about the quality materials and workmanship. I use this for backpacking, typically as a lounging chair at camp. So weight is very important to me. The posted weight is mostly accurate, the hammock (without straps) is 16.5 oz. However, this includes the carabiners which are WAY too heavy at 4.3oz for the pair, you can get hammock rated carabiners for 1300lbs at 1.5oz for the pair for $10. So there is an additional 3 oz of weight savings to be had. After I made that switch, here are the posted weights on my food scale: Hammock with new biners inside the sack: 393g (13.8oz) Wiseowl Straps: 183g (6.5oz) So this whole package is barely over 1.3lbs. A helinox chair by comparison is 2.1lbs. What a steal this is for $28.

It works great for me its nice and lightweight but I would replace the caribeners on it but none the less works perfect for me

I am a big dude and this hammock made some high weight claims. It totally stands up to the challenge. Not only will it comfortably hold me, my 3 year old twins often jump in with me. Great product !

I couldnt be happier with these hammocks! Got one for my daughter 2 years ago and it held up great! Decided this year to get a2 person to take camping. Keep in mind, I am a middle aged mom, I am not a teeny thin teenager, and I was scared to death this thing would break as soon as my fat butt hit it! But it is seriously so much fun! Super strong for me, my kid, and even a few pets! I find myself sitting in said hammock writing this review with a cold drink, listening to my amazon playlist and loving life! My husband got me this for my birthday and I love it so much! My grandchildren love it. We put it together in the house and that is where it still is because it’s just to hot right now to actually enjoy it.
