Update: Ive actually had the opportunity to use this hammock while camping (not for sleeping, just relaxing) and it held up great! I ordered the double, and it came with two 9 tree straps, not rope like some reviews state, and my 11 year old son could set it up and take it down unassisted. He and my 6 year old daughter (total of 165 pounds) could lay in it without being cramped, and all 3 of us could sit it comfortably (325 pounds). My friends all had ENO hammocks, and they all tried my WOO and agreed it was just as good as theirs, but at less than 1/2 the price, I was feeling pretty thrifty! Ive used my hammock a total of 15 times now, and left it outside for a week long stretch (in shade) and it still looks just as good as it was brand new. Im very happy with this hammock that Im ordering 2 more singles for my kids. This is my first gather end hammock, and I love it. Very happy! I purchased it for camping (but only as a place to relax) and I’ve been using it at home as well. I got the double, so it’s spacious enough for 2, or extra roomy for one. It’s really lightweight, but very strong - holds my 265 pound husband with no issues. Comes with tree straps for fast set up. Very impressed!!

When we received the product one of the connectors was not strung through hammock. We had to figure out how to string it through to attach to line. Thought about shipping back as defective yet that hassle would have taking more time and energy. We fixed it and like the product, now. Quality control was not good.

Overall a good product and like they said on the quick set-up video, the fabric is very soft, yet strong. The carabiners look and feel more sturdy than other brands Ive compared to. Nice range of colors to select from. Customer support from Wise Owl is on point, and I appreciate that. Contacted them via Amazons message the seller chat. Got back to me with a solution within an hour. Thumbs up! With the sales going on, I might snatch another one!

I am a big dude and this hammock made some high weight claims. It totally stands up to the challenge. Not only will it comfortably hold me, my 3 year old twins often jump in with me. Great product !

Let me start by saying Im a 55 tall woman with a small frame. This hammock is comfortable for sitting in it sideways or lying down to relax. Sleeping, however, was not an option for me. I found that the hammock squeezed my shoulders uncomfortably no matter how I positioned myself to sleep. I have since bought a double hammock in another brand (only because I stumbled upon a sale) and found that it was much more appropriately sized for one person. Id recommend always buying a double if youre planning to sleep in it. The construction of the hammock is sound. The material is lightweight but strong, and the seams have not ripped from use. The stuff sack is nice, as the whole hammock stuffs down to about 3x4. I can stuff it all in the sack with the carabiners sticking out and store it on hooks that way. The two carabiners are heavier than the rest of the hammock, but sturdy. Ive used this hammock quite a few times for relaxation, and its held up well. I would buy from this brand again, for sure.

DO NOT let your life pass you by without owning a portable hammock like this Wise Owl Outfitters Camping Hammock! I bought one of these hammocks a few years ago, used it more than one hundred times, never had a quality issue with it, but, it did NOT come with a padlock and somebody stole it. I missed having the hammock so, so much and bought another one. I am so grateful I did. This hammock and its straps weigh nothing and take so little room to store in my backpack that I do not even notice that it is there. I like to hike and ride my mountain bike through nature. I take this hammock everywhere I go. I love to find a couple of trees in nature, stop, set up the hammock and take a nap whenever I want. It is amazing how just a 20 minute nap can be a day changer! Heaven. My best naps ever have been in one of these hammocks. I weigh about 180 lbs. and I have the single. The first one was a double and my wife and I used to take the occasional nap in it with no problems. The build quality is excellent. I have never had a single problem with any of the components. No, I am not getting paid to write this review and I have no affiliation with the company. I do not write many reviews. However, I do like to write a review when the product is excellent as this one is. I will also write a review if I have major problems with a product so others do not go through the frustrations I have gone through. It can take a little getting used to setting up the straps and hammock just right. Your time spent will be well worth it and pay off many times over. Nice material and looks like it will hold up some big folks in my house. Bought a cotton one from Amazon and it went right back and this one stayed. Dries fast when wet which is a plus

Im a big guy at 63, ~250 lbs. i much prefer a hammock to a tent when i go camping or backpacking, but its hard to find ones for my height to be comfortable or to hold my weight. I paired the double hammock with the reinforced straps (sold separately) and i had lots of extra room and it feels very secure, slept in it many times and still doesnt budge or have to settle to much. My only complaint, which is with most hammocks, is that it gets very cold. I live in Washington and do most of my camping/backpacking near the water, and the hammock provides 0 warmth apart from keeping you off the ground. That being said, its because of how lightweight it is. it weighs about the same as my phone, if not less, and folds down into the side pouch, very convenient. To make up for the cold butt, i pack a nice cotton blanket. i usually sleep cold anyways, so the blanket just helps block the wind.
