This is the perfect little hammock for someone who just wants to get their feet wet without breaking the bank on higher end hammock gear. The fabric is lightweight and comes in a compact, sewn in case making it easy to take with you wherever you go. Its super easy to hang and you can do so just about anywhere. I managed to make it work from a neighborhood street sign to another tree for lack of better options. Youll find that it is very easy to trust the hammock, get settled in, and take a moment to relax. The one thing I didnt like about it, and this really wasnt all that big of a deal to me, was that the single owl does squeeze a little bit tighter around the shoulders. You can somewhat fix this by adjusting the tension of the ropes, but when youre limited on hanging options, this does create a slight problem. Its not terribly uncomfortable and is no reason to turn away from this product. This is quite literally the only negative thing I could fish out about it.

Quality of the hammock is very good, the carabiners are solid. Stitching on the tree straps is also good, theyre lightweight but feel substantial and solid. My only gripe is that there are not enough loops on the end of the tree straps. Wise Owl tree straps have only like 4 possible loops, where competitor tree straps have 7 or 8, giving more flexibility in how to hang the hammock. This is only a minor issue, though, and can often be fixed by double or triple wrapping the strap around a tree. Overall, the quality of materials and workmanship on the hammock and straps is very good. I would recommend this hammock for someone who wants casual lounging or is just trying to dip their toes into hammock camping.

Great hammock very comfortable

EDIT: any issue I originally had with this hammock is counteracted by Wise Owl’s customer service. If you buy this hammock and aren’t satisfied with it, they will seek you out to work with you until you are satisfied. I’ve added two stars to my review. Below is my initial impression of this hammock, which is still “pretty good” even before this update. It’s a pretty good hammock. The absolutely raving reviews made me thing I was going to get like, the greatest hammock on earth so maybe I was let down a little. The one I bought (single) is not super comfortable for me because I’m a little taller than average, but I’m not a giant, just 6’0”. If you are a man-sized person, you may want to get the extra large one which I realize in hindsight I should have gone for. Also, there are lots of conflicting reports about wether it comes with the straps or ropes. I was half prepared to get the ropes because there’s no conclusive answer online, but thankfully I did receive the straps. Based on what I’ve read, the company has good service and will ship you the straps upon request if you are one of the unlucky ones who receive ropes instead. It arrived literally the day after I ordered it, too. That’s pretty crazy. I would say you should get this hammock if you’re smaller than I am, and shop around in the enlarged price range for a bigger one if you’re my size or taller.

I just received this in the mail and I love it. Pretty lightweight and is so compact, I can easily tuck it in my backpack and still have a ton of room for laptop, chargers, books, pencil case, etc.! I tried it on and it was very comfortable. I had to refrain from falling asleep (I tested it out at 2am in the morning!)..ya boy was too excited to wait hehe. Also the pouch that turns into a side pocket when you set it up- call me a hammock virgin all you want, but that is ingenious! Although, I had a hard time finding two trees close enough for me to try it out because the tree straps were a little short. I didnt read the length before buying, so thats on me. Ill have to buy longer straps. I live in Oregon so finding an area with a handful of trees wasnt too hard. Otherwise, awesome purchase! I might have to buy more for my siblings as they were getting jealous of me in my hammock lol. Great opportunity to get them to do things I want though. Make them work for that Wise Owl Hammock hehehe

My girlfriend and I have been hunkered down in the Linville Gorge in Western NC for the basically the entirety of the COVID crisis. After doing over 60 miles of hikes in three weeks, we were looking for something to take a load off after putting in a long days work. For years, I had seen Similar hammocks all over the place from a major brand (cough eno cough) , but dismissed them as frivolous and expensive. Then a friend suggested the single owl from WOO and my world was turned upside down. This high quality hammock is every bit as soft and comfortable as my friends’ ENOs, and extremely cost effective. Right now you could buy three WOO hammocks and straps for the price of one ENO with straps. Kudos to you WOO on creating a fantastic and economical product! I plan on buying many more to give as gifts

I carried this hammock on a recent backpacking trip in Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama, and I could not be happier with this product! Setup was a breeze, and I had the best nights sleep in the woods that I have ever had. I am around 510 and 250 lbs, so I opted for the double hammock. I had plenty of extra room. I had a camp pillow and my sleeping bag between my legs in case I needed them during the night, and I still had more than enough room to stretch out and enjoy the night. If you are looking at this hammock, I would highly recommend giving them a try. For the price, I dare you to find a better deal. DISCLAIMER: The ONLY thing that I used that did not come with this hammock was a strap system to hang it. It does come with ropes to use; however, I found that (mainly because of my size) they did not stay as taught as I would have liked them to. Grab yourself a good set of hammock straps, and youre good to go!

Wow! I am quite impressed with both the product and the company. Last year, I had purchased a hammock from a well known brand company, ENO, and the recipient LOVES the lifestyle of the hammockers and uses it nearly daily.) I decided to purchase a hammock for the family before a camping trip, and saw Wise Owl. It is more reasonably priced, I compared every aspect of the two, and found the quality of material and workmanship to be exceptional. In addition, it is lightweight and easy to pack, easy to carry, simple to store. Great for hanging out close to home in the yard, or while camping, hiking, enjoying your local parks. Unbeatable stress relief and relaxation! I received the product ahead of schedule, and also received helpful information about the product and how to use it through emails from thand company. I LOVE that this hammock comes with cording, so that its not necessary to purchase straps. (Though the straps from Wise Owl are also wonderful. )they sent very clear instructions on how to tie proper knots with the cording. This feature alone allows this to be way more budget friendly (other brands come with nothing, and younget hit with a significant add on cost if you dont know...as happened when we purchased a hammock from a more known brand that comes with nothing.) I had a question about my product, and the company responded quickly, and resolved my issue above and beyond expectations. They are quite helpful. I had already been impressed with the emails providing helpful and useful information about the product. On the whole, I would rate it higher than five stars if possible. The product and the customer service alone are wonderful, and using the product has proved and will continue to provide mots of relaxation and stress relief. If you havent spent some time hiking out or staying close to home enjoying life from the view of a hammock, this is the way to go!
