I am just starting out on my needle felting journey, and I have only used the Wool Buddy a few times so far. I tried a cheap craft store foam and it was very small and fell apart quickly. Not a good first experience! The Wool Buddy is a nice size and quality. I can see it lasting for a long while.

This mat is the third one I ordered. First one firm- excellent. Dog got it so I had to order second one. That one came super “ squishy” was replaced by company. Replacement better -so year later ordered a third and that one super SQUISHY almost impossible to use….

My granddaughter didnt like this pad. She used it once and put a hole in the pad while doing needle felting. She changed over to a foam pad and didnt have the same problem. She will hold this one as a back up to the foam pad. She was very disappointed that she put a hole in it while using it the first time.

I am very new to needle felting, but not new to fiber crafts and wool. This mat worked great for my latest project. Stuff came off it easily and any stuck fibers lifted off easily. I got the big mat and it was comfortable in my lap. The mat is very dense and the needle never poked through. Easy to feel where I was and gauge my depth

Best felting pad ever!! Very firm and I don’t worry about stabbing my leg with the needle going through. I must order another one!

I love the felting pad, things don’t stick to it as easily as foam. I splurged and bought one, as my business is getting busy.

Its hard to find a good felting surface... this natural pad is fabulous to needle felt in my lap. I dislike synthetic foam so this is highly recommended. Thank you Woolbuddy!

I hate the little styrofoam (or whatever they are) blocks that the supplies usually provide and this was exactly what I needed to make the craft actually enjoyable again. I can use it easily anywhere and it’s big enough to hold if I’m not at a table or rest my hand/wrist on while I work. The material doesn’t stick to it and it’s firm enough to work on easily. I can’t praise this enough besides wishing they came in more colors or designs or something like that but even for what it is it’s great!
