This mat is the third one I ordered. First one firm- excellent. Dog got it so I had to order second one. That one came super “ squishy” was replaced by company. Replacement better -so year later ordered a third and that one super SQUISHY almost impossible to use….

This is my second woolbuddy. I have had a small one for a year. I love this new larger version.

This is a wonderful product for 2D or 3D needle felting. Much easier than foam felting pad.

Prior to getting this, Ive only used foam for doing needle felting. This is such an amazing upgrade, and really took my needle felting to the next level. Excellent product, and I wish I would have upgraded ages ago. Its so much easier to use than plain foam mats, and I was able to work far more easily on a smaller scale) Here is the mat in action, while making a moon and stars.

I saw some made of burlap or sisal. It had a dark side and a light side. But they were much more expensive. I’ve been enjoying this mat. Which side it’s on doesn’t matter. It’s pretty and a nice size. About the size of an iPad. Mine is a light blue. It’s firm and straight. The other one looked like pillows. This one is strong and flat with a surface just right. There’s no way the other kind is worth the extra money.

I have tried several other mats and this is the best. It keeps its shape and doesnt come off on the wool or weaken in spots like the foam ones.

WHY did I wait so long to get a proper felting pad made of wool? I regret all of the money Ive wasted over the years on foam felting pads! Ive only had this for a few weeks, but Ive already put a lot of mileage on it. Its fantastic. So sturdy and thick. I love it. Never going back.
