Greater than one weekI bought this last year when I was tired of paying $40 at petsmart. When I originally bought this package, one of the CHEs did not even work. Despite this, I still used the other one. Fast forward about a year, I start hearing a loud buzzing noise coming from the CHE. I go to check on it, only to find that it’s painted and the black paint is literally melting off. I’m scared to think about what could have happened had I not checked on this. Just spend the ungodly amount at petsmart, it’s not worth the fire risk.

> 3 dayI bought these for my bearded dragons tank instead of using ordinary heat lamps and they were great! They work better than the regular light lamps. I also use it outside for my outdoor cat in the winter to keep her warm and she loves it!

> 3 dayUpdate: Next day: Lowering rating from two to one. Neither heats up. I think I could put a tissue on them and they’d be just fine. So disappointed... :( Day of arrival: Hoping I can update this review. Bought two and they’ve been plugged in for over an hour and they’re not really heating anything up. Was hoping to use them on the aviary outside but no way this is warm enough. If they warm up I’ll update my review.

> 3 dayLasted about 2000 hours on, which isnt what they estimated at 10-15k hours but still a good value for your money! They ran hot while they worked, and just crapped out one day. Ill still mostlikely buy more soon

> 3 dayThis puts out a tremendous amount of heat. Far more than I expected. I have not had it long so I dont know how long it will last but my chicken coop is warm right now for the winter. Happy hens lay delicious eggs!

> 3 dayI was so excited for them but as soon as I plugged it in, it released a horrid smell of burning plastic and it never went away. Had to return it right away. I was worried it would be a fire hazard.
