Wyze Plug, 2.4GHz WiFi Smart Plug, Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT, No Hub Required, Four-Pack, White

The only reason I am rating it 4 out of 5 instead of 5 was the fact it cannot connect to 5GHz Wireless networks. I know it states clear as day that its a 2.4GHz WiFi Smart Plug, but its 2022 and most products with WiFi capabilities should connect to 5GHz networks. The Smart Plug works as it should. You can power on any appliance or electronic device from anywhere you can get an internet connection. So far so good. I will be sure to add more after I do some thorough testing.

My living room has two lamps for its primary lighting since it is not wired to any overheads. I was tired of always shuffling to each side of the couch and cranking each one to turn the lights on before sitting down. Most people have a switch wired to overhead lighting but I am unfortunately not one of those people. My solution to this first world inconvenience was to purchase these plugs in conjunction with a Google home mini for controlling both lamps. The plugs work flawlessly for my needs and I havent had any connectivity issues since setting this system up. My google home is a bit slow for voice recognition but as soon as the signal goes through, the plugs switch on power simultaneously and shed glorious light on my little room. Very pleased with my purchase!

I purchased a singular plug and the setup was very easy and I loved it so much I bought another package of 2. If you have an Alexa this is so easy to control on/off of any device plugged into it with just voice command! Well worth the money.

It seems like every other day I have to go in and re-add one of these plugs to the app/network because it says its not available. Its not difficult to do, but if multiple go out at once, its difficult to see which one youre reconnecting to unless youre watching the flashing light patterns on each of them while going through the setup. Its just annoying to have to do this on a regular basis. When they do drop off, they still retain their schedule, so your lights will still turn on and off per the set schedule, but you lose the ability to manually turn them on/off with the app or with a connected assistant (google and alexa). Then, once you reconnect to them, if you dont do it the right way you lose the schedule for that plug and have to re-program that to get it to turn on/off automatically. Theyre easy to setup, configure, and manual button works fine if you can reach where these are plugged in. Firmware needed to fix the stability and reconnection on its own. My KASA plugs seem to not have this issue, whats so different in these?

First off, I must say that I really, REALLY wanted to love Wyze and its products given that theyre a young, American start up company and sell their products at reasonable prices. Alas, theyre just not ready for prime time yet: -- I ordered 4 of these plugs and even though Im highly skilled in tech, it took hours of attempts, interactions with Wyze Wizards tech helpers and even after all of that, only two of the 4 plugs worked. -- Sadly, Wyzes tech help/customer service is extremely poor. Their Chat is not live, its all AI bot driven. If that cant help answer your question, you have a choice to either call or email. I gave up holding on the phone, the first time after 22 minutes and the second time after 37 minutes, and opted to email instead. It takes literally DAYS for the Wizards to email you back, only to discover that the Wizard either didnt read my question or didnt understand it, so I had to repeat it, going back and forth several times before getting a more qualified Wizard. All this for a product that literally takes 5 minutes to install when using other brands. Im very disappointed.

These worked out great for our vacation. Also works great for helping my baby sleep. This way I dont get up and make noise. Apps is easy to use so I can turn off the light in the click of a button!

Life is so much easier when all you need to do is say Alexa turn on floor lamp or turn off floor lamp,especially when youre disabled... I have more coming to make my home more Alexa friendly & easier for me...

I ordered two plugs and one integrates perfectly with Alexa and my chosen label, “livingroom light. With the other I am stuck with “first socket,” and unable to relabel. Annoying, but it does work.

It wont work with the core 300 it powers on but core 300 wont resume .

I initially found the Wyze plugs at that orange hardware store. I knew I had to have more! This Four-Pack is a bargain! We have a detached garage some distance from the home and never found a good solution for controlling the lights from the house. Apart from trenching the two buildings and running underground conduit the Wyze plug fit the bill as an effective solution! This product is not rated for outdoor use but Wyze does have outdoor plugs. We installed a low watt super bright LED motion sensor flood light on the out side and have it run it an outlet on the inside and it works perfectly! Wyze app has rules that you can set to your geographic location automatically to turn the light on at sunset and off at sunrise and even voice activated via your Amazon Alexa, or you cellphone Alexa app, or your Wyze app! You can even check the device status while you are away from your home! We even use Wyze plugs for fish tank lights!
