It seems like every other day I have to go in and re-add one of these plugs to the app/network because it says its not available. Its not difficult to do, but if multiple go out at once, its difficult to see which one youre reconnecting to unless youre watching the flashing light patterns on each of them while going through the setup. Its just annoying to have to do this on a regular basis. When they do drop off, they still retain their schedule, so your lights will still turn on and off per the set schedule, but you lose the ability to manually turn them on/off with the app or with a connected assistant (google and alexa). Then, once you reconnect to them, if you dont do it the right way you lose the schedule for that plug and have to re-program that to get it to turn on/off automatically. Theyre easy to setup, configure, and manual button works fine if you can reach where these are plugged in. Firmware needed to fix the stability and reconnection on its own. My KASA plugs seem to not have this issue, whats so different in these?

Amending my review to add stars. After my plug stopped working, customer service shipped me a pack of two plugs to replace the 1 that doesnt work. Happy with the resolution.

I purchased a singular plug and the setup was very easy and I loved it so much I bought another package of 2. If you have an Alexa this is so easy to control on/off of any device plugged into it with just voice command! Well worth the money.

I have switched out all my Amazon Smart Plugs with Wyze plugs. Why? Because the Wyze plugs actually work much better with my Echo devices than Amazons own plugs do. Telling Alexa to turn on/off the Amazon plugs were hit and miss, I never knew how many times I was going to have to repeat the command. The Wyze plugs work first time, every time. Whatever is going on with the plugs, Wyze is doing it right and Amazon isnt. And yes, I went through all the steps with the Amazon plugs, they just werent reliable.

I have bought WYZE equipment previously and found it great. So I bought 3 color lightbulbs and 2 plugs. Of the plugs, the first failed totally. The second said it had to be updated - so I clicked update firmware - and it failed. This went on for 8 tries. I finally contacted customer support and they led me through a series of complicated steps that finally got it to work. Took about 2 hours. I went on the web and this seems to be a recurrent problem since August 2022 with no prospect of a fix. It is dumb to sell something that immediately has to be updated and cant be updated. Of the 3color lightbulbs. One updated sucessfully (hooray), one failed, and I finally got the 3rd to run, but I still cant get the firmware to update so I am stuck with obsolete firmware. So of 5 items, 2 are working, 1 sort of works, and 2 are in the tech recycling bin. And I wont ever buy WYZE again. I give it 2 stars because 2/5 actually work well.

Works well. Connected to my wifi easily. Got it so my wife wouldnt leave her hair appliances on/plugged in and burn down the house. So far, so good

Both units went offline a couple of times. To reconnect, I had to add the devices again (no need to delete them, just added on top and the app will use the wifi password stored for the existing device). Other than that, it works as desired. Since I need this mostly to turn on/off a device and lights, it works even if it goes offline. But if I needed to start/stop something at a discretionary time, it may not be online when I need it.

Love these things. Added a bunch to my smart home network and they work perfectly. Sometimes they can be hard to pair up but thats usually app related. Once paired up, they work excellently with both Google Home and Alexa. On/off functionality is awesome to have around the house for lights and devices. Get you some!

Easy to setup and use, but God help you if you need customer support. I was double charged (~$100) for annual monitoring, and after numerous exchanges (each time with a different person), the best answer I could get was an offer of a $20 gift card to their online store to buy more of their stuff… I had to dispute the charges with my cc company.

Compact Wi-Fi smart plug. Switches are a thing of the past.
