Yellow Jacket, as I understand it, is a good brand to go with. Im not an HVAC technician. I purchased this piece for a friend that is. He helped me install a MrCool ductless unit in my house and we ran into a roadblock when he realized his standard equipment didnt fit the smaller fitting on the A/C. This adapter worked as expected.

If youre going to buy or already have one of those nice little mini-split AC units then youll need this adapter to fill it with Freon. Unlike your standard AC units which uses 1/4 refrigeration fittings, all the mini-splits Ive run across uses a 5/16 fitting. Dont ask me why because this is beyond stupid. However save yourself some headaches and lots of wasted time by picking up one of these Yellow Jacket 1/4 male to 5/16 female adapters.
