Yellow Jacket 19173 5/16 Female Quick Couplers x 1/4 Male Flare

I wanted a set and wanted good ones where I would not need to purchased twice. There are sets on amazon where you can buy two for under ten dollars. Went back to my known good brand and bought these instead. Very good quality and Im sure will last. Used them once and sealed up nicely like all my other yellow jacket products.

Use Yellow Jacket as this unit will not fail in use....Seals well..You will need this adapter to charge Pioneer Mini-Splits!

Some reviews say not needed but my Senville definitely required the larger 5/16 connector. Yellow Jacket could have offered the option when I bought their gauge. Lost valuable time waiting for this pricey adapter had I known. Check your unit connections when buying gauges!

Perfect adapter to use your standard refrigeration gauge set and hoses to hook into the 5/16 access ports on a mini-split condensing unit. One bit of advice, remove the Schrader (bicycle) valve from the adapter as the condensing unit has its own and by removing them from the adapter you can pull a better vacuum as there is less impediment to flow. Just used it on my install and pulled a sub 500 micron vacuum.... (you do use a micron gauge, right?) Now, if someone can direct me to an adapter for the odd ball drain line fitting on the indoor unit! Probably some metric size. Measures about 7/8 and nothing on the plumbing shelf seems to work......
