Zoo Med Laboratories SZMRH20 40-Watt Repti Therm Habitat Heater

Does not put out as much heat as I expected for my fully insolated and sealed 3.5 x 4 tortoise house.

Just wish it had a built in thermostat. Other then that it is awesome.

Our tortoise would not have survived the winter without this. This heater is great and very reliable. It has held up to our tortoise scooting all over it inside his house and proved to be very durable. This heater holds temperature without getting too hot and has a set range to keep your reptiles warm and comfortable.

Excellent find for my Leopard Tortoise (Charlene). Works exactly as described.

As expected

It was lightly used and just quit. Very disappointed!

Seems to be working for my two red foot tortises. I keep them inside during the winter, but the tile floor gets chilly. This is available if they want to get a warmup.

Theses supply a great underbelly heat for my Ornate Box Turtles. The surface of the heater gets around 85 degrees. Make sere you have plenty of room in your enclosure bescuse this is good size 18 by 18 inches. Im coupling mine with a over head ceramic coil heat 150 watt bulb placed in a Zoo Med deep dome fixture. Supplying heat from top & bottom. My pen is 8ft by 32-inches. I also have a BigApple thermostat both heating sources are plugged in kept at 82degrees. It really works for me.

My Sulcata tortoises love the pad. Only problem is Ill need to buy another so the two dont fight over it. This thing is well made and tortious proof.

I have 2 Sulcata tortoises around 10-20lbs each maybe even more. I purchased 1 about a year ago and it works really well. The tortoises fight over it and like it so much that I decided to purchase a second one. The mat can be used for other large reptiles. The material is very durable and having 2 heavy tortoises constantly using it, it still trucks on without any issues. I highly recommend these as they have a built-in thermostat that prevents it from getting too hot. Also cleaning the mat is a breeze as its waterproof.
