> 24 hourThis is the best ice cream scoop. It just glides through the ice cream. I have arthritic hands, so I was really amazed how easy it scooped the ice cream. Better than any other ice cream scoop on the market! So very glad I purchased this Zyliss ice cream scoop!

> 24 hourExcellent size for scooping ice cream from large or small container. Good edge to get through hard freeze. Sturdy and comfortable handle. I envision this tool being in my kitchen for a long time.

> 24 hourThis scoop is great. Ice cream comes off in a ball and doesn’t tend to stick. It’s easy to use. It is dishwasher safe but will last longer if you hand wash. It’s got a good weigh to it both in the handle and scoop so it really cuts through even hard ice cream. In short, I love using it.

> 24 hourIve know Zyliss as a leading Swiss brand for cookware from when I was a kid growing up there. No doubt, the scoop is expertly engineered: its well balanced and decidedly solid to cut through the hardest ice cream, but the one I was provided was poorly manufactured. After a couple months small blisters and pitting started showing and now, a year on theyve grown to downright holes 2-3 mm (just under 1/8) in diameter. Its clear that the metal was cast too hot (hence the pitting) and an attempt to grind out the pits revealed that the stainless steel the scoop had been marketed as at the time was merely nickel-plated copper! Since the potential for copper oxides and food residue inside the holes represents a health hazard, the scoop has ended up in the Güsel, the Swiss-German word for the trash bin. Tsk, tsk, tsk, what leading Swiss household brands have come to!

> 24 hourThis seems to be a new version of the old Zyliss ice cream scoop Ive always loved. The handle is a bit thinner, and the edges of the handle are less rounded, both allowing for a better grip, especially if you have smaller hands, as I do. Both scoops are covered with nonstick coating that allows you to draw it through hard ice cream more easily. I dont care which of the two I use since both versions work well. The scoop is supposedy dishwasher-safe, although my previous Zyliss scoops surfaces eventually bubbled up a bit after a couple of years. It didnt affect the usefulness, and it didnt ever flake off. Aesthetically, however, it was disappointing. If you get this otherwise excellent scoop, you may have to choose between convenience (the dishwasher) and longevity of the surface (hand-washing.) -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

> 24 hourOriginal model was thinner scoop and easily scooped ice cream fresh out of the freezer. Not so easy with this model.

> 24 hourI love the heft and design of this scoop. It works great. Unfortunately the silver finish on the bowl of the scoop is pitting/coming off. I dont want that in my ice cream, thank you very much.
