a bit heavy and weird to clean but good to use otherwise

This is the second one Ive purchased - best scooper out there!

Because the scooper end is flat and not pointed, it’s extremely hard to scoop ice cream that’s frozen solid. It works fine if you’re using it to scoop from a brand new carton. However, I’d look for a different scooper if you’re trying to scoop ice cream that has frozen solid.

The shape of the scoop and the handle are excellent. However the plating used on the scoop pits and flakes off after time. Small flakes of metal will inevitably end up in your ice cream. Worse, Zyliss knows full well about this and their answer is that coating is food safe (yes, that was their exact response to me). In addition, the pits can store bit of food and bacteria. These arent particularly expensive, and if you dont mind tossing them out and buying a new one every time they start pitting, these are a great option.

This ice cream scoop is the best weve ever used.

I did some research on the best ice cream scoop and this was recommended by some celeb chef. It is really great and has a nice heft. Seems to make scooping easier, but that could be my bias :)

The weight, the scoop, I can put it in the dishwasher. Stupid how an ice cream scoop can create so much joy, but it did.

A chef told us about these years ago. We have two and really like them. You will not find a better ice cream scoop.

Great! Would advise just to wash and dry by hand. Will last forever if you do that.

Love this. I have a lot of Zyliss products. Will cut thru the hardest ice cream.
