> 3 daythis is the second acer chromebook I have owned and this second one is currently in the repair center for broken hinge. This makes the second one with a broken hinge. Totally unacceptable .

> 3 dayHas anybody found a cable lock that fits this? I visited the Acer forum, and everyone has the same problem. One customer received a response from Acer claiming that their engineers designed the lock port that doesnt fit any known Kensington lock. Their suggestion is to string a cable through the device holes and lock it some other way.

> 3 dayI picked this up at Costco when it was a few bucks less than Amazon. No regrets! If youre familiar with the Chromebook concept, its super easy to use and especially easy to maintain thanks to regular automatic updates. Also, its not the target for hacking and malware that Microsoft is. My only gripe is its a bit heavy to use in the tablet mode as a reader.

> 3 dayThe screen splits apart every time I open, adjust, or close the laptop. Sometimes the screen won’t even turn on, it’s just black. I would not recommend this specific laptop at all.

> 3 dayIn the Item description it says Intel Quad-Core MediaTek MT8173C - this is actually an ARM processor - so be ware if youre going to try to run Linux on your Chrombook.

Greater than one weekI just got this and I am transferring from my Kindle Fire 10 (which I will never give up) . But I am pleasantly surprised every time I open the Acer to do something new. No problem installing games from the Fire to this. Or things like FaceBook. It is just slick. The machine is faster than what I am used to. The screen gives you the greatest pictures And You Tube flicks are easy to get stuck watching all afternoon. I think it would be good for a pro. And I know it would be good for a student or new user. And I want to add my friends are already jealous that I also have a Touch Screen and can use the on screen keyboard. I also like the weight. It doesnt feel like a toy from Wal-Mart. I think this will be able to take a few bumps and bruises. It is built tight if that makes sense. The other reviews if you read between the lines some of them sound like they bought it for grand dad and he didnt know what he was doing, so of course it becomes the machines fault so they can return it. And what made my final decision was the price.

> 3 dayGreat computer. Simple but gets the job done. Clearly that’s what you’re looking for at this price. Obviously doesn’t compare to a Mac, but that’s not the point. Would be great for kids to do homework on.
