Purchased this wool mat to take to classes & retreats for pressing my projects. The size is perfect to pack into my sewing tote.

I really like this ironing wool mat for my quilting. It’s very handy and I can use it right beside my sewing machine. I use it all the time.

Do not use iron rest on any other surface than wool mat. Wish there were instructions. I used it on the wool mat and really liked it. I now realize I was foolish, but I put very thick layers of cotton tea towels under the rest to see if heat would travel through to my cutting mat, left iron ~15 sec. and my mat was warped when I checked it. Worse case I expected to be warm. But better that than my kitchen counter! I’m very happy with this reasonable priced wool mat, and the iron rest when used on the pad. I am looking at getting the larger size as well.

I used this mat at a quilt group meeting and knew I wanted one. The mat really makes a difference pressing blocks flat. This mat is firm enough to take along to retreats.

I love this mat for ironing my quilt blocks. It helps everything stay nice and flat without steam. It had a funny smell at first. I think this is typical of wool. That has gone away. My sister was visiting and she used it and had to order one too. This is much less expensive than those you buy at quilt shops but works just as well.
