Greater than one weekAlthough the silicone iron mat was a nice to have and not why I was buying it, it was disappointing that it wasnt in the package.

> 3 dayI love my wool pressing mat. I am a quilter and the mat really helps to press sharp, flat seams - the thickness and sturdiness makes it hold up well to the heat of a hot iron and pressure of ironing. The size is great for laying on top of my regular ironing board.

> 3 dayDo not use iron rest on any other surface than wool mat. Wish there were instructions. I used it on the wool mat and really liked it. I now realize I was foolish, but I put very thick layers of cotton tea towels under the rest to see if heat would travel through to my cutting mat, left iron ~15 sec. and my mat was warped when I checked it. Worse case I expected to be warm. But better that than my kitchen counter! I’m very happy with this reasonable priced wool mat, and the iron rest when used on the pad. I am looking at getting the larger size as well.

Greater than one weekThis pressing mat is perfect for my sewing room. It fits easily on my side table without taking up too much space. It is thick enough to protect my table from the heat of the iron and provides just the right amount of space for pressing open seams on my sewing projects. I wish it had a travel case for when I take it to sewing classes... guess I will have to sew one.

> 3 dayIve wanted a wool pressing mat for a while, but the cost was just too high for me. When I saw this one I thought I would try it out. Its a convenient size. I can put it on my ironing board or have it directly on my work space. It is thick. It holds heat well which makes it perfect for pressing seams for patchwork and machine embroidery. The price was really good for the nice thick quality mat.

> 3 dayI really like this wool ironing mat. It did smell a bit like a sheep when I received it but I sprayed it with Febreeze and no issues. Doesnt make what I iron smell either. It is a really good size. The only issue I had was user error, had my iron up too hot and scorched a little bit of the mat. Doesnt affect the mat at all. So glad I bought this.

> 3 daySomeone in these reviews mentioned that this thing smells like a barnyard, and I had to laugh as I used this mat for the first time. It does, indeed, smell like a pile of composting hay. Not in a subtle, sniff sniff, “Do you smell something funny?” kinda way. I mean the hot, steamy, North Georgia petting zoo kinda way. Good God, you had better make sure you really, REALLY need crisp fabrics. It is, however, cheap and functionally effective, so there’s that…. As with all things Amazon, you get what you pay for.
