> 3 dayIt definitely radiates heat. My daughter wanted 2 chicks. We have a coop with 6 chickens so I allowed her to get some. Well the fools would try to peck the filament in the heat lamps we had and busted both of them. I got these ordered and had them the next day. The chicks havent broke them and it has been a month. I had to raise the heat lamp because one of them singed the tail feathers. It didnt catch the chick on fire so that is a positive.

Greater than one weekI was skeptical and watchful after reading reviews of fire. I made sure my lamp had a ceramic base to screw the bulb into. I was blowing other night heat bulbs every 48 hours from pet store, bought this one and have had no issues and love that it emits no light. My beardie stays nice and warm at night.

> 3 dayI’m not a fan of the ones from here. One is extremely loud and the other doesn’t sit right in the lamp. I don’t know if I got some bad ones or what. I’m using the loud one because I don’t trust the other one. Now I have to order more some place else.
