> 3 dayTruly replicates the nostalgic feel of holding a SNES controller, however, it does remind you that those controllers were severely lacking in many respects; modern controllers are infinitely more ergonomic for real human hands and a more appropriate size. The controllers feel incredibly small, at first I thought this was a defect but I believe our memories are of times when our hands were smaller.

> 3 dayI dont understand why some people on here are saying that theyre cheaply made and whatnot. They feel good, the buttons and d-pad are definite, and theyre injection molded with relatively high quality plastic. One problem however, is their unreliability. I used these once yesterday, they both... technically worked... except when I was input mapping one of them it kept spamming POV Up or something. Today, the one that worked yesterday stopped working, and the one that I was having problems with worked fine. If youre willing to wrestle around with technical difficulties, input mapping, etc, this is a good buy.

> 3 dayWe all know exactly what these SNES-like USB game pads are for. Ive owned and played a SNES since I was 4, I still have an original SNES controller and I use it a lot, so Im intimately familiar with how the genuine article looks and feels. By comparison, the kiwitata model feels slightly more rigid and less prone to flexing or bending, the surface feels smoother or slicker, its slightly darker in color, the shoulder buttons are a bit mushier, and the face buttons stand a bit taller. Its enough to catch me out sometimes, unless I manage to get properly immersed in a game. Its better than playing with the keyboard though. Oddly enough, when I first plugged them in, the computer didnt recognize them. I rebooted the machine, and it still didnt see the game controllers. I thought one might be dead on arrival, so I swapped to the other one, no joy. I rebooted the machine again, and lo and behold theyve been working fine ever since. Computers, amirite?

> 3 dayWorked right out of the box, but with heavy use (3-4 hours a day over the course of several months), both controllers had the A button start to stick. I probably wouldnt get this brand again, but for what I paid, they served their purpose quite nicely. Edit: After coming into contact with the company that makes these, they offered a complete, free replacement because they were still under warranty. So Im adding a star for good warranty.

> 3 dayBeat SMB3 and most of Super Mario World before one controllers B button began to stick. Now it sticks and wont depress without repeatedly jiggling the top of the button. Both controllers D-pad provides too much wiggle room. With just my fingertip on the edge of the d pad, I can move 3 directions. Should not be able to do this, causes unintentional diagonal movements during gameplay. I read in reviews some people are receiving replacement controllers of higher quality? I assumed when I ordered I would get 2 high quality controllers, and I hope these arent what people are referring to as higher quality! To be fair, I can play earthbound and other turn based retro RPGs fine. But that is true with a keyboard.

> 3 dayIt works pretty good, kinda stiff at first and has a couple dead zones but its not too bad. Both of mine died without much warning. I did use them pretty heavy for practicing SNES speedruns, but not heavy enough to damage them.

> 3 dayThese feels exactly like the originals. Great for hooking up to a computer or raspberry pi. The cord is about 5 feet if I had to guess which is okay but not great. It would be nice if the cord was longer. The play is perfect and I have no complaints other then developing that Nintendo thumb callus again. :)

> 3 daySo, after playing with these controllers for about 2 - 3 weeks, heres my experience: * One of them completely stopped working * One of the cords came out of the controller case, exposing loose wires (I have to shove the cord back in the case several times during play to make sure it stays there) * Both controllers have a bad right D pad button. When you push it, a good portion of the time itll mimic the down D pad button. This really sucks when youre playing 2D side scrolling games like Mario. All in all, would I recommend these controllers? Sadly, yes, only because their isnt anything else much better out there that Ive come across. If you want to play old SNES games on your computer, then youll be happy for a few weeks. Just dont be surprised when they start breaking down on you. Update #1: the 2nd controller stopped working too a few days after writing this review. Update #2: they sent me 2 new controllers that are supposed to be a better model (why they couldnt send the better ones to people in the first place is beyond me). Ive tried them out, and so far, they feel good and are working good. However, well see if this remains the case after a few weeks of use by my 6 year-old nephew...

Greater than one weekI am sure these would work well playing any game in which the number of buttons works out. I bought them specifically as part of a Retropi build. Which is a system built off of a Raspberry Pi running Retropi OS which allows you to play any roms from games you may have from Atari/Arcade through the SEGA. NES, SNES and PS1. And they work perfectly, just plug and play. The controllers themselves are well made and feel solid, which is nice considering the price for two. They are a super function, well made set of controllers if you need them for something.

Greater than one weekI use these with my Retropie setup and havent had any problems with them. Great reaction times with them and they perform just like SNES controllers. The only gripe is I wish the cords were a bit longer.
