> 3 daySurprisingly solid. Ive tried quite a few of these and considered iBuffalo to set the bar for knock off pads, but these are really quite good. They have a heftier weight than others which makes them feel a little more quality as well.

> 3 dayOne of the controllers arrived with both “Start” and “Select” buttons pressed in and wedged underneath the case (most likely damaged in transit). I probably could have fixed this by unscrewing the case, but I had issues with the other one so I ended up returning them. The D-pad on the other controller sometimes registered in the down direction when scrolling left and right on menus and while playing games. Also, it was very difficult to make some fluid movements. I thought it was just me until I tried the Buffalo controllers and had zero issues. On a positive note, kittata seems to have good customer service.

> 3 dayLike many of you im sure, I got these to play emulated games on a Raspberry Pi + a computer. Works perfectly. Ripped through Super Mario World flawlessly with these bad boys. Tricky to map buttons correctly on RetroPi, but I can’t hold that against the product!!

> 3 dayWe all know exactly what these SNES-like USB game pads are for. Ive owned and played a SNES since I was 4, I still have an original SNES controller and I use it a lot, so Im intimately familiar with how the genuine article looks and feels. By comparison, the kiwitata model feels slightly more rigid and less prone to flexing or bending, the surface feels smoother or slicker, its slightly darker in color, the shoulder buttons are a bit mushier, and the face buttons stand a bit taller. Its enough to catch me out sometimes, unless I manage to get properly immersed in a game. Its better than playing with the keyboard though. Oddly enough, when I first plugged them in, the computer didnt recognize them. I rebooted the machine, and it still didnt see the game controllers. I thought one might be dead on arrival, so I swapped to the other one, no joy. I rebooted the machine again, and lo and behold theyve been working fine ever since. Computers, amirite?

16-11-2024one star is fine because bot controllers dont work as built, but the inside bits work fin so i can still use those. this is actually a perfect price for parts. its mainly the start and select buttons mebrane. it sucks. i changed my review as they have offered to send me a replacement. The controllers are decent except for the membranes.

> 3 dayTruly replicates the nostalgic feel of holding a SNES controller, however, it does remind you that those controllers were severely lacking in many respects; modern controllers are infinitely more ergonomic for real human hands and a more appropriate size. The controllers feel incredibly small, at first I thought this was a defect but I believe our memories are of times when our hands were smaller.
