> 3 dayIve had my makita orbital sander for year and the original base was cracking. I thought Id have to buy a new sanders, but when purchasing sanding discs for the sander, a link came up for this base. It fits perfectly, all the sanding disc adhere great, the edge of the new sanding pad do not interfere and leave marks like my old one. It was quick and east to install. I unscrewed the original 3 screws and attached the new pad with the same original screws. Easy peasy. It took less than ten minutes. I do recommend this replacement pad. Great product.

> 3 dayThe text in the ad for this Makita hook and loop pad says that it will fit a Makita BO3050 ROS. It will, if you enlarge the holes for the 3 screws. The three attachment holes (as opposed to the 8 air holes) on the hook and loop side are too small. I didnt buy this pad to have to drill it out. It would probably not look good if I did that. Drill bits dont drill flat-bottomed holes. Forstner bits would do that, but I have none that small. The large hole on the backside of this pad is 1 and 3/32 inch in diameter, which is the right size for the Makita bearing box cap on the BO3050 random orbit sander. Also, as Amy G. has pointed out in another Amazon review, the three screw holes in the hard plastic backing of the hook and loop pad are not in the right position. They are too far from the center of the pad by about a millimeter or two. I did attempt to elongate these with a round file. A true Makita pad has holes for the three screws that are more like slots than perfectly round holes. There is no need to mess with the elongated holes on a true Makita pad. So, to make this pad fit a Makita BO3050, you will need to enlarge the 3 holes on the hook and loop side and you will need to elongate the same holes on the back side of the pad. I cannot recommend this product.

> 3 daySays it fits a bo5021 makita random orbit sander, however the 3 mounting holes are about 1/16 too far apart. Can not mount on to sander.

> 3 dayThe screw holes that come pre-drilled in this pad are for countersunk for flat-head screws. However my Makita has round head screws with fixed washers and they wont fit in the provided holes. Youll need to countersink the holes with a brad point or forstner bit. Not a big deal but it is clearly not designed for the Makita sander.
