> 3 dayThe place where the screw heads go is not recessed. The screw heads stick up making it impossible to sand. Without modifying it it, is useless.

Greater than one weekInstalling took some time, need to redrill the attachment holes. They were not aligned with my sander base.

> 3 dayI think the manufacture screwed up. The sanding pads do not seem to stick as well as on the OEM disk. I would recommend you search for the OEM disk, and pay more and be happy. 2022 may update - I am buying a new MAKITA brand backing plate. This on does not stick to almost new sanding disks well and the original lasted many years. Spend the extra 5-10$ and be happy with OPEM. I will throw this out once the new one arrives. When I do woodwork, I do not want to spend time cursing the paper not sticking.

> 3 dayI was impressed with the quality of the product, but when attaching it to the sander (using the same screws that held the original), the holes were too small. Drill the holes out will fix the product, but I didnt want to do the drilling.

> 3 dayThe plastic components melted and fused to the sander head within 5 minutes of use on my Makita 5041. This completely jammed the motor and prevented operation. Had to remove using a utility knife and a flat head screw driver in order to pry it off the sander head. What an awful thing to sell! (Furthermore, the recessed holes for the screws did not fit the washers and required modification before installation).
