> 3 dayExactly what I needed. My amp has huge heat syncs and gets pretty hot when I crank it loud for long sessions. Mcintosh stuff has built-in power guard that will shut it down if it doesnt get rid of the heat. This thing removes it well and keeps it from overheating. I tried using the smart function, but its just easier to start it up along with the amp when I have a session. I set it up to auto start on at fan level 2 which is super quiet and programmed all the display lighting off because I dont really like looking at it. So all I can see is the fan level light for a sec when it first goes on, then just the tiny little dot light shows its active. When Im done, I let it run 20 minutes after amp shutdown and then manually shut it off for the night. Its so much better and more effective than what I had before. It fits perfectly, is unobtrusive and sleek, very quiet too. Sometimes I have to turn it up to 3 which is audible, but cant be heard over the volume levels being used to warrant the higher fan speed. Yeah, Im old, but I still like it loud. Everything else in the pro audio world is ridiculously priced, so I was very happy to pay the reasonable price for this piece of quality pro gear.

> 3 dayI got this to help cool my new Denon AVR-X3700H that runs really hot. Youve got on mode, which lets you select a fan speed and remains on that speed constantly, auto which kicks into high gear whenever the AVR gets above 88 degrres fahrenheit, and shuts off below that. Then you have smart mode, which is constantly adjusting the fan speed based on the temp.

> 3 dayI am using this on a Marantz SR6012 Receiver that runs HOT! Keeping fingers on top of the unit for more than a few seconds is painful. With the S10, at its lowest speed, the receiver is barely warm even after several hours of use. Set the speed, put it on auto and you are good.

> 3 dayFits perfectly on Marantz SR 8015. The auto setting seems to work perfectly. Looks great works all the time and relatively quiet. On very quiet music passages at low volume you can hear it at 12’. But I listen to everything so loud I have zero issues. This is the brand for me I’m getting another unit for basement system.

> 3 dayThese should come with receivers to be honest. The fan is quiet unless its at 100 percent, but if its maxed out, youre up so loud you cant hear it anyway.

> 3 dayEspecially when the receiver is placed in a cabinet with all sides closed and not much head room this device helps pushing the hot air to the front of the cabinet and keeps the receiver cool.
