I just turned it on with the smart cool setting and never looked back. It cools the receiver and I could see it turn on when there is a heavy load on the amp.

I have a Denon AVR X2700H and the reason to explore a cooling device system was that at the climax of Lord of the Ring: Fellowship of the ring movie my AVR shut down due to a thermal alarm. That was so annoying as took a long time to cool off and I had to decrease the volume significantly to continue watching it.

Absolutely awesome product!! Have it sitting on top of my brand new NAD receiver & feel very confident my unit is being kept nice & cool. Will definitely recommend this great cooling system!!

Solved my heating issue.

Great addition to my new Yamaha RX-V383 5.1ch receiver. I bought it because I got a new stand for my TV with a square glass base sitting on top of the receiver blocking the vents, Not to mention these AV receivers dont have cooling fans. I can say this should vastly improve my receivers lifespan. The instructions are a little hard to understand but I keep it in Smart mode and it turns on every couple of minutes, runs for a few minutes and turns off. Its a few inches longer than my receiver front to back and sticks off the ends but it was either the 17 or the 12 and that was way too small. Very good value for the price.

Fits perfectly on top of my Denon receiver. A little loud, but I keep in the closet, so not a big deal. My concern was to keep the receiver cool. Does it’s job perfectly

I had made a heat shield above my amp to protest other stuff and put a fan behind everything. When I saw this I had to try it. Wow, works great. Looks good too. I hjave it set to smart and it really works. Fan speeds change as the temp changes. Ill be getting more for my otehr amps.

Sits in idle on top of my receiver (Denon AVR 6700H) in SMART Mode: turns itself on when it senses things are getting warm, dials it up when things get hot and shuts itself down as thing cool off. Oh yeah, and its silent except when its running on high -- which is pretty much never.

This does an excellent job keeping my A/V receiver cool when in use. I like the level of control that the fan provides. It automatically turns on and off to keep my equipment cool and conserve power when its no longer needed
