> 3 dayIm giving this unit 2 stars because theres no indicator if theres a bad fan. All units from all companies should have this feature. If Im going to buy something to extend/protect the life of my very expensive receiver, I want to know when a unit thats 1.5 in height and 17 in width that fits over the top of my entire receiver to tell me when a fan or fans have failed. If you dont know a fan or fans have blown, youll know it when your receiver does due to lack of an indicator.

> 3 dayThe fan noise is slightly noticeable but with sound from the AV Receiver / Stereo you will likely not hear it. Good value.

> 3 dayWanted a simple cooling solution for my Denon 3700 AVR. This works great. Yes, you can hear the fan, if there is no other sound or music playing. I just set the max level to the second speed and forget about it. Never do hear the fan, but, will see the front lights when it starts. And that is the only way that I know that the fan is cooling. Never do hear it when I am watching TV. I have the rear exhaust model and it works the best for my setup. Would def buy again.

> 3 dayIve had this for 2 hours. Its exactly what the description reads. Ive seen a few places that offer the same solution but not at that reasonable of a price. Very nice piece of gear. Cheap insurance as far as Im concerned. Very worth it.

Greater than one weekHigh quality from the cooling unit all the way thru the packaging. So far, the unit is operating exactly as it should.. I use the unit set to the orange mode with the fan speed dialed back one step from max. Very quiet.

> 3 dayFits nicely on top of the Kenwood AV amp and keeps at cool at 1/2 speed. Enabled removal of old Heath-Robinson amateur set up. Very please. Had to order from USA as not available in UK (shame) but no complaints about the only 3 day delivery time

The fan is quiet and the Smart fan feature is the right solution to balance noise vs. heat. The bonus feature is the ability to turn off the very bright fan speed light. Yes!
