> 3 dayI just spent a small fortune on my first home theater. At the end of our first family movie night in the theater the receiver was so hot I could not even touch it. So I did some research and decided to purchase the Aircom S8 to cool the system.

> 3 daySuccessfully cooled a very hot amplifier in a cabinet. I was able to use the lowest speed which was not audible from my listening position.

> 3 dayAfter updating my receiver, which tends to run hot, I had considered laying a muffin fan on top to help keep it cool. My concern was that I would be recirculating hot air in the cabinet instead of exhausting it. The Aircom S8 is perfect. It exhausts out a rectangular opening at the back of my cabinet and the receiver is running much cooler. While the fans are a little noisy at full speed on manual settings, Ive never had them run faster than half on Auto which is barely audible. The unit is solid, well made and highly recommended.

> 3 dayHigh quality from the cooling unit all the way thru the packaging. So far, the unit is operating exactly as it should.. I use the unit set to the orange mode with the fan speed dialed back one step from max. Very quiet.

Greater than one weekThank God for this contraption, I recently had to purchase a new theater receiver system its been like the third one in about three years, the worst thing for them is overheating, if youre considering getting one of these, do it!

> 3 dayThis product works exactly as it should. I have mine set to auto mode and it turns on when it senses heat and adjusts itself to different fan speed levels as necessary to cool the AVR. Well built and stylish!

> 3 dayMy entertainment console is compact and has maybe .5in vertical space to fit my receiver. Knowing that ventilation was going to be a problem I originally planned to rig up some CPU fans to keep things cool, but then I saw this. So I cut holes (when the wife wasnt looking) in the top of the console to correspond to the Aircoms fans, placed the Aircom on top, and set it to automatically cool. So far it has worked really well- the thermostat automatically turns the unit on and off correctly- and there is almost no heat buildup. At the slowest setting, which I use, the sound is very quiet and is unnoticeable when watching/listening to something. This thing looks like a DVD player and appears right at home on the console. It is sturdy too, I would have no problems stacking other heavy equipment on top.

> 3 dayI have an older receiver which is older and makes a lot of heat and now that I have the unit in a closed cabinet I needed the Aircom to keep things cool it is nearly silent on low settings which is what I use. The receiver made so much heat before it was buring up the expensive turntable above it on the rack, now there is no issues with heat.
