Great laptop, fast, does get hot quickly though and no way to control the fan

Worked great from december until June then died throwing system errors Then come to find out the warranty started in June not when I bought the item so had 6 days of support left when it crashed. I would not recomend this item or buying any electronics from Amazon. save yourself some grief and go to the Big box sytore that has support in store This is a nigfhtmare

If I had waited another few weeks to purchase this, I would have saved about $30, but I dont care. Im glad I got it when I did and Im VERY happy with it. It does everything I need it to do. The graphic quality is superb and the keyboard very user friendly. It even has the numerical keyboard to the right which is a plus because I use it a lot. This comes with very minimal instructions, enough to get you started. I would suggest downloading their user manual as it has many great tips in it that I dont think I would have thought of. If youre looking for an economical laptop that does just about everything, this is the one to get.

A whole year did not even pass since the purchase of this laptop and everytime i unplug the laptop I get a blue screen. This is becoming unbearable. I’ve lost a lot of work this way.

Decent for the price. Good for basic home or school computing. Onboard memory a bit sparse would recommend upgrading with an 8gb memory module. Will then give you a total of 11.9 gb memory of which 9.9 gb is useable. Shared video takes up the other 2 gb. Comes with 4 gb soldered to the mother board and one open slot. Bought this for my daughter for school and general use. She is quite pleased with it. 128 gb ssd not a lot of storage if you plan on using this as a dedicated laptop. All in all. I would say a great little laptop for the money, but dont just take my word for it read the reviews.

Purchased Sept 2019 and I had to send this laptop back to Texas to the Acer company for repair as mine stopped charging completely in less than a year and I had to pay shipping although it was still under warranty. After less than 2 years the keys started failing and then it stopped turning on completely. Now it is dead in Nov 2021 and I am shopping for a new laptop, while my Toshiba from 2010 is still running.

I bought Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R14K laptop originally as a gift for a cousin and it doesnt have any of the features mentioned. This was advertised as having a backlit keyboard feature. However, upon receiving the laptop, I found that the backlit keyboard was NOT present nor the fingerprint reader. This was disappointing as the backlit keyboard feature was a major reason for me choosing this particular model. While the laptops other features are satisfactory, I cannot help but feel let down by the lack of the backlit keyboard. There is no option it should be on the fn + f8 key or f9 and neither of those do anything to turn it on the backlit keyboard. BUYERS BEWARE
