Screen is great size and picture. Easy to set up

I went through the comments on this item before I decided to purchase. So far I find it to be a good selection. I took the suggestions made in the reviews and upgraded the hard drive and RAM; but because I am no expert in finding the right upgrade items to purchase, it cost me more than the comments suggested, both to purchase and install. I like the backlit feature, it powers on really fast. I would say the battery life is decent - not impressive. I really dont see what people are going crazy about regarding the screen quality. I do not like the charger cable. Its so flimsy. Im pretty sure it will pop real soon. I find it strange that you have no way of knowing whether caps lock is on or off. You have to type something in order to find out; which is highly inconvenient when youre typing a password.

I purchased this computer and had it setup and running for 1 day. It worked well. The second day it had an update and all hell broke loose. It quit working and locked up and nothing will fix it. I contacted Amazon and they replaced it. I used this one for about 2 days and the exact same thing happened. I felt guilty about contacting them again and having the same problem and just let it set. But, it thouroghly pisses me off that I spent $369 for a piece of equipment I cant use. Im a senior on a fixed income. What a waste of money. This was not my first Acer computer. It was my 4th and I never had a problem with any of the others, never again.

The Acer Aspire 5 A515-46-R14K Slim Laptop is kind of bland. It looks bland and operates in much the same way. It has a mediocre display and so-so performance to match.

I bought this computer with a lot of expectations because my last computer was a major disappointment and I was thoroughly surprised with it. Its easy to use, comfortable while typing, and the screen is amazing. However, the icing on the cake is the light in the keyboard. I was not expecting that in made me very happy to discover this feature.

I was really happy with this laptop for a year, and thought it was one of the best purchases Ive made, but when the Enter and Backspace keys stopped working as they should, the laptop became very frustrating to use. At some point I just pulled the 2 key caps off in order to eliminate the stuck keys.

I would like to provide an update that Acer paid for shipping to send the laptop to them to be fixed. They fixed the problem and sent it back to me. There was no cost to me. I now have a desktop computer and use the Acer as a back up. Was very pleased with the service and willingness to help. Thank you.

Literally one day after the 30 day warranty, the laptop wouldnt turn on. Did all the troubleshooting and called their customer service and they did more but still doesnt work. They offer a long process of mailing it to their repair place in Texas.... not worth it

This is another laptop where you have to keep the price at the forefront. In the price range of high-end Chromebooks, I cant help but be impressed with the package that Acer gives you, with some caveats.
