I have owned several cheap Chromebooks, but after reading the reviews I decided to splurge on a really good one. What a difference an aluminum chassis, a 13.5 3:2 format high resolution (2256 x 1504) Gorilla Glass screen, a core i5 processor, 8 gigabytes of memory, 128 GB of storage, and a backlit keyboard makes-- not to mention the included EMR pen. Needless to say, those cheap Chromebooks are just gathering dust now, Ill never go back to them after this experience.

This is a premium laptop. The hardware is equal to any similar PC or Mac laptop. Build quality is superb. The IPS screen is the best in any laptop at any price.

I love this machine because its really powerful and usb C charging over night provides a full charge. I also charge my samsung gear watch and oneplus 7 pro via usb from the laptop with an awesome little usb to hdmi adapter that has a couple extra usb ports.

This thing is built cheap and irritating, especially for what you pay. Ive had 3 other (cheaper) Chromebooks and this thing sucks comparatively. In tablet mode the bezel bends where you hold it. If you have the backlit keyboard on, it doesnt turn off in tent mode. It doesnt save window sizes. This means going back and forth from tablet mode and laptop mode youll have to resize all your windows. Battery life sucks if youre doing just minimum. The Wacom pen is cheap crap and the nub gets stuck. I will never but another Acer, this thing is trash! Also the plastic hinges that are painted to look chrome are easily chipped. The sound this thing has is embarrassing. Sounds like crap. My phone literally sounds 100% better. Try hp guys. Thats where Im going back to!

I bought my Acer Spin 13 Chromebook in 2019. I chose this Chromebook because it came with a i5 intel CPU, 8 gigs of ram and 126 gb of eMMC storage. Lastly, the big deciding factor was the ability to use a EMR stylus that works with Samsung Note device screens.

    Greater than one week

This laptop is great for the price. I do wish the screen was more clear.

I got this laptop during the Cyber Monday sale as my first ever computer that doesnt have Windows on it. My desktop at home has Windows 10 on it but I havent turned it on yet since this Chromebook arrived last week since I wanted to give the Acer a fair chance and see how much I really miss Windows 10. So far, there hasnt been anything that has made me wish I was using Windows 10! The only times where I have felt a little bit inconvenienced is when I need to use Microsoft Office products. I say that I was only slightly inconvenienced because I am still able to use all of the Office programs (in multiple ways actually, now that there is Google Play Store support), they are just a different layout than I am used to and may not have some of the more extensive features that the Windows version has. For the vast majority of users, however, there will be a small adjustment period and then itll be fine after that.

I desperately need this Chromebook but cant pay the current price. This is an amazing machine. If only Amazon could discount it again for the Cyber Monday price Id buy it in a heartbeat. I was just too late researching Chromebooks and only discovered this beauty two days ago.
