> 3 dayFirst off, I have the utmost respect for ACER laptops due to fact that Ive had 2 Acer laptops and they were still running well at the time I gave them away to family/freiends. This Acer is the best one Ive ever seen, its aluminum chasis makes it look sleek and a marvel to look at and hold and use. Its just as nice-looking as any apple product and even has a back-lit keyboard so that I can use in dim lighting.

> 3 dayThe keyboard backlight is such a waste of time. They should do it nice or not at all. Really the backlifgt is so bad it makes the whole laptop feel cheap

> 3 dayThis thing is built cheap and irritating, especially for what you pay. Ive had 3 other (cheaper) Chromebooks and this thing sucks comparatively. In tablet mode the bezel bends where you hold it. If you have the backlit keyboard on, it doesnt turn off in tent mode. It doesnt save window sizes. This means going back and forth from tablet mode and laptop mode youll have to resize all your windows. Battery life sucks if youre doing just minimum. The Wacom pen is cheap crap and the nub gets stuck. I will never but another Acer, this thing is trash! Also the plastic hinges that are painted to look chrome are easily chipped. The sound this thing has is embarrassing. Sounds like crap. My phone literally sounds 100% better. Try hp guys. Thats where Im going back to!

> 3 dayI purchased this for my daughter last March so she could do remote learning because the school supplied Chromebooks are highly unreliable.

> 3 dayI was able to find a Chromebook Spin 13 as an Open Box (but never taken out of the box) on EBay for $479. Id been agonizing between the hp x360 14 vs Asus flip c434, when I became aware of this. After some research, I quickly realized this is probably the best Chromebook (specwise) that you can get... and nobody really considers it because its largely for a Business Audience and the price isnt especially practical. If you are spending the retail price and you need something for business, youll probably get a Windows 10 machine. However, at $479 (no tax/free-shipping), it was a no brainer. High resolution screen, Stylus, Intel Processor, Fully convertible, back-lighted keyboard, great speakers, 10hrish life, great keyboard, etc... its really perfect. Would I have ever got one for $799? No, and Id have missed out. Anyway, if you can find one at a good price (or you just dont care about price), its pretty darned perfect if you want a Chromebook.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent product and a great replacement for Windows. This has everything I wanted (touch screen, stylus, fold back design, and more). I only gave it four stars because of one small flaw. It seem that all Chromebooks put the cooling vent intake on the bottom and exhaust out the back, this one does. But they do not leave enough room for the fan (under the unit) to pull in air and it tends to get hot if you do not prop it up a little in the back or get a cooling pad.

> 3 dayIf you are willing to give up an hour or two of battery life for 2 to 5 times the CPU power, then you are trying to decide between the Lenovo C630 or the Acer Spin 13 (both models run rings around a Pixelbook or Pixel Slate). Both models max out at an Intel I5-8250U CPU, with which comes the whirring of a cooling fan at times. Both have the same RAM, storage, and an IPS screen (Lenovo has a 15.6 screen, the Acer a 13.5 screen). The Lenovo price on Amazon is usually $619, the Acer $749. Why is a smaller panel priced higher than a larger panel for the same CPU, RAM, and storage, you wonder. The answer is ... the 2256 x 1504 screen on the Acer is much better than the Lenovo FHD screen. The difference is not only resolution, but color accuracy and saturation. The whites on the C630 are yellow-white... very noticeble. The whites on the Spin 13 are brilliant white. Ive had multiple Windows laptops from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc., Chromebooks from Asus, Acer, and Lenovo, and many tablets. My summary is: you live with the screen every second you attend to a computer, the keyboard less, and everything else far less (trackpad, CPU, etc.). For that reason, I cannot stand cheap Chromebooks... the screens are horrible. IMO, the Acer screen is more than halfway to a Samsung AMOLED, using the the Lenovo C630 screen as a base, and hits a sweet spot as priced on Amazon. A second factor is size&weight: portability. For me 15 is TOO big, and the 13.5 size of the Lenovo hits a sweet spot for portability. So, having been reluctant to click on $749, I kept using a Samsung Chromebook, even though I wanted a bigger display and MORE POWER. When the Spin 13 went on sale on Pi Day, clicking was immediate... patience rewarded. The Samsung has a new home, as do all the Chromebooks before it, and the occasional whirring of the Spin 13 goes unnoticed.

> 3 dayThis machine is snappy. The display is great. I purchased it because of Crostini which works as it should at this early stage of development. It is way ahead of the Chromebooks I recommend for my school district. The only problem I have is that the display crashes. Large gray vertical stripes appear on the screen, then it turns black. The only way to recover from this is to fold the laptop and reopen it immediately. This happened a lot while using Crostini, so I first blamed this on the fact that the project was in Beta. But now, it also happens while running Chrome or android apps. I am now starting to wonder if this is not a hardware or implementation issue. I have had to return Acer laptops in the past. Is it a one-off issue? Should I exchange the machine? Acer, please help...

> 3 dayThis is the first Chromebook Ive owned and I have to say it is a great laptop ! I love the 2 in 1 function with the stylus built in. Its a great size for drawing. Computer is fast to load up and the battery life is fine even when using the touchscreen for an extended period of time. The aspect ratio of the screen is not ideal for watching movies but for everything else its great! The biggest limitation is the amount of programs available for Chromebook vs. Windows or Mac so it really depends what you are wanting to use it for.
