> 3 dayAm writing this review from the actual laptop. So far, its going well .... When this laptop arrived, it came with a protective box over the actual laptop box, that protective box was flawless BUT the laptop box was opened. The seal was propped up and the sack the laptop came in was upside down. I bought this laptop new. A sticker on the laptop has a little minor peal on it. I was hoping to keep it on for aesthetic reasons, but I might peal it off in the near future now.

> 3 dayCame with a corrupted BIOS, which I fixed. BIOS was severely outdated, fixed. Came with 40 bloatware programs, also fixed. Had to configure 200 settings just to dual boot Ubuntu, another fix. Then I booted Windows 11 and Acers software BIOS corrupted again, which I fixed, again. By uninstalling Acers bloatware version of Windows and installing my copy of Windows 11. Worked for 2 weeks before corrupting Ubuntu to the point where I had to reinstall everything. Ive been using Linux for 12 years, never had this much of an issue.

> 3 dayIts RAM is kinda bluh but Im planning on buying myself memory sticks! Its a really good laptop though and Im enjoying being able to have a gamer laptop for the price of a normal one? Its keyboard doesnt stay lit, but Im sure that makes it more worth it in the end. Because it prioritized your laptops energy over all else.

> 3 dayGood sub-$1000 gaming laptops are hard to find, but The Nitro 5 gives great value without breaking the bank. The 10th Gen Core i5 processor is 2 generations old at this point, but it has plenty of power to run pretty much all modern games at a decent setting. The Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics processor is an entry level to the new Ray-Tracing sexiness thats the next big thing in graphics. On newer games you probably wont be able to get past the 60fps barrier at 1080p with the settings cranked, but dialing the details down a bit will give you better rates. The display is rated for 1080p and 144hz, and while its not the brightest or most vibrant screen out there, its fine for this price point. There is also a (full size) HDMI out, but I have not had occasion to connect this to an external monitor yet. The cooling fans do a good job of keeping this machine within temp specs... but do note they can get pretty loud under load (honestly thats almost inevitable on a gaming laptop, its hard to keep things cool in such a small box. Anyone who games on a laptop should invest in a good headset IMHO.)

> 3 dayLa pantalla no es tan buena porque cuando juegas se ve como una clase de línea rara pero corre muy bien los Juegos solo necesita que le metas más ram y listo

> 3 dayI purchased this for my daughter and her SIMS game. I am highly satisfied with the way this laptop runs this program and would recommend this for anyone that is just starting out with gaming devices due to the fair price and performance, at least with this particular PC game.
