I got it only for 2 games (Dota and Warframe) on high settings I still get lags, + it get so hot (keyboard) that you cant use it. oh and now some letters dont work you got to press very hard on it. My guess it got melt. You get only 2 hours of battery life when you even watch just the YouTube. And when you play on high settings even when laptop is plugged in, battery still dying faster. Also at 40% battery life (plugged in) overclocking GPU will shuts off and your (GTX1060) basically its not working so you cant play. I guess it just not for me. But it got very good sound quality.

Great computer! Can play games like COD black ops 4, Just cause 3 and Fortnite, I average around 160 for fortnite when the computer is plugged in (frames drop to 30 fps when unplugged). The computer can get pretty toasty but if you have coolboost settings enabled then youll be fine, fans wont bother you when wairing headphones but can be somewhat loud. Overall great laptop and worth the buy.

It’s a fingerprint magnet, always looks messy regardless how much you clean it.

I am testing this laptop for quite some time and I believe, it is quite good, however, I wouldnt take the price as it is, since it doesnt have a 2nd HDD. Based on your need it might be +$200. I bought a secondary HDD but didnt assemble it, yet. I bought a SanDisk Ultra II 1TB SATA III SSD ($189.99). I will give the updates maybe some images once I put them together.

This is the second Acer gaming laptop Ive had, and both times theyve had strange problems with WiFi connections where theres a non-trivial chance that the network settings are going to just be completely unavailable (as in, I cant even view what networks are available to connect to, the network & internet settings program wont even load, I have no internet connection, and network diagnostics cant help at all). The problem happens regardless of what connection Im using, regardless of the computers temperature. Internet forums seem to suggest that this might be a consistent problem that others with the same model have as well. The laptop works great for the first 6-8 months, and then these network problems pop up randomly. Sometimes Ive been able to resolve it by restarting the computer a few times, sometimes it seems I have to let the computer sit for several hours. It just happened again, and neither of those are fixing it so I guess Im going to have to resort to a full system restore. Its such a shame, because the laptop is such a great value otherwise - but perhaps issues like this are exactly why.

I wanted to like this laptop. However, the heating issues are irredeemable and I’m returning the laptop.

Fantastic product. Just as good as a desktop rig. The price is pretty brutal (as with most pre built laptops) but you will get nothing but quality out of this one.
