    Greater than one week

The hdmi port uses the integrated graphics, so the laptop will not work for VR as it states in the description. I feel like I have been lied to and deceived by Acer, and unfortunately I cannot get a refund on the product due to Amazons return policies. Using the laptop for non-vr uses has been pleasant, disregarding the insane temperatures of the CPU and GPU.

So i bought this laptop after seeing a review on youtube of dave2d and was really excited..until i actually recieved it...first of I purchased a 2tb hard drive so that I could load all my fav games on it and guess what...there is some fault with cable and it wont read....and the most terrible and depressing part is that I cant play my fav games for which I bought this....just after 6 to 7 mins of gaming this thing reaches 97 degreees and frames rate drop like crazy....tried cooling pad also but it still overheats like crazy.....this is total crap !!!!

The product was defective. I bought it for my sons birthday. I’m a Mac guy so I took a chance on this against my better judgement. It lasted three days and started overheating and crashing.

Hi everyone, I’m from Panama, everything came as described, wasn’t damaged at all, I received it a couple of days ago but decided to wait to do the review.

Overall great computer, can run all the games i wabt to play. The battery life us short, but its a gaming laptop so its meant to be plugged in. The SSD that it comes with is very small, but it has slots for upgrades to that and memory. Overall good gaming laptop on a budget.

después de 2 años, murió. simplemente se apagó y dejo de funcionar. siempre se mantuvo con base refrigerante debido al mal diseño de disipadores. ahora ni siquiera carga la batería.

Great laptop for a great price. I have not experienced the bugs other people have, so I am grateful for that. Its everything I expected from a gaming laptop.

Yes, this model has overheating issues, when gaming at 120FPS. That said, I define overheating issues as getting close to the safe working temps defined by Intel (100 °C in the case of this laptop) minus a padding zone of 30 °C, this means reaching 70 °C for long periods of time. Which you will definitely notice since the keyboards starts getting hot in the 65 °C neighborhood. If you create a Gaming battery profile in which you limit the CPU to 99% usage, then you drop the frequency to 2.1 GHz on all cores but never go over 65 °C while only losing a couple of frames (I go from 90FPS consistently to 83-87FPS consistently in BO4 max settings). Another solution (tho a less effective one) is undervolting the CPU, but I found my specific laptop only dropped a few degrees, that is while barely giving away any performance. The keyboard is incredibly comfortable to use for the price point and the screen is great (again, given the price point). Battery life is what you might expect from a gaming laptop, tho again, a battery profile is always useful. In terms of power, it is more than I need then I let it run free, I can easily have a Linux VM using half the threads doing something intensive and have both the host OS and the VM show no signs of lag. The SSD is a bit small but has a great performance (FOR THE PRICE POINT [that seems to be the important thing to remember here]) and adding another drive was extremely easy. All this said, I am still considering repasting the CPU (since ACER is known for cheapening out on the application process and the thermal paste quality) and if I do Ill update the overheating issues.

The thing about this laptop is it really is great but there is always a new issue with sound or audio. I have had multiple times when other people can not hear me through anything on this laptop.
