> 3 dayRuns like dream. Gets hot to the touch when under a lot of use and in a hot room. Could be too hot if you have thin skin or are a child. My hands are calloused, so it doesnt matter. Probably why this is so cheap, comparatively. Great deal.

> 3 dayfreaking love this thing, the design is great and it crushes gamessss. love getting 145 fps in overwatch, and being able to take it wherever you go is great. I dont like how its a really bad fingerprint magnet, wish there was like a matte finish on it. but, guess you cant have it all. all in all would be a solid recommendation from me!

Greater than one weekIt was broken twice within 10 month but they only provide one chance for repairing within my 2-year warranty. After the first repair the repairing button became view repair status - repair completed so I could not report problems again and make it fixed again.,

Greater than one weekSo Im pretty new to the pc gaming world and previously playing any game on more than potato graphics was impossible for me. So I waited about a year to write this review once I got a feel for how intense games can and should run. This thing is a beast. The most graphically intense game I play regularly is No Mans Sky, and I can run the game at ultra graphics with great performance. There is the occasional stutter when leaving/landing on a planet, but its negligible. I was already impressed with how well it ran, and in recent updates, the graphic intensity of the game was amped up even more. Still no problem whatsoever running on ultra and the game is more beautiful than ever.

> 3 dayI have owned 3 Acer laptops now including the Nitro 5, and the one with the mx150 graphics card been a very loyal customer. I have never been so frustrated with a purchase from Acer. I feel as though I have been ripped off. Allow me to explain. I have owned the 2018 model Predator now for 3 months I have used it of and on for light gaming and noticed that temps would creep into the 90-95 c range after 30-45 min of play. no problem I thought I will under volt the CPU and the GPU , buy a cooling pad, and that should help a lot. It didnt. I use Predator Sense of course on full blast , and the temps still hover around the 89-92c range CPU and this is in a 72 degree room. I am not playing demanding titles either, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile . So out of fear of damaging the machine I will not use it to game. Acer made small improvements over the 2017 model in cooling but it is not good enough. now i am stuck with a 1000 dollar machine that tries to destroy its self every time I attempt to play a game.

14-06-2025I had to update my review after using this laptop for a month to let you know how hot the Predator gets. The 6 core processor has a 100 Celsius limit before it shuts down mine is already hitting 95. I lowered the voltage -164 to get it down by 5 degrees Celsius and have been using my laptop large twin fan cooler underneath. You might as well understand that Acer uses crappy thermal paste so be ready to dismantle the case to clean up the paste mess and apply a quality thermal paste to drop the temps by 10 degrees Celsius. It didnt matter if I ran the fan to 6000 rpms this laptops cooling system just cant keep 6 cores cool. Good news is the 8750H processor no longer uses the aluminum cover like the 2017 versions processor which means you can apply liquid metal if you choose to do so. Other than the intense heat I am loving this laptop but I cant imagine those of you using this laptops keyboard with so much heat buildup, I use a usb redragon and keep the laptops keyboard lights off to control heat. Just giving you a heads up so you know what to expect. Also there are plenty of videos on Youtube which show you how to dismantle and fix these heat issues, also to help you undervolt the cpu & gpu which will lower temps without too much loss of framerate. Hope this was helpful.

> 3 dayAs a gaming laptop, this definitely gets the job done with flying colors. You wont have to worry about performance. Easy Ultra 1080p 60+ FPS in games like Doom, For Honor, RE2 REMAKE, and Rainbow Six Siege.

> 3 dayI’m overall happy with this laptop to the extent that it runs graphic heavy games that I play and it was a very reasonable price with I think $200 off..that being said the one fault I have is that when the fans need to kick into max settings I’m shaken to my core because it sounds like it’s trying to take off. However with the blue tooth option I’m able to listen to music over the sound of this aircraft carrier
