As soon as this thing arrived I unboxed it to set things up. Right off the bat the screen started flickering. Youtube screen flickering Acer Predator Helios 300 for some examples of what this looks like. It flickered so bad that I could not browse the internet or play a game. I ended up repackaging it and returning it to Amazon that day. I called customer support and they could not fix it but said that theres a hardware issue and that I should mail it to them for repair. This would probably fix the issue, but why should I spend $1000 on a laptop that comes broken, and then wait weeks for it to be mailed, repaired, and returned for a chance that it will be fixed? Theres plenty of other laptops of this quality on the market around the same price that probably have a better build quality. I think the specs on this thing are incredible but its clear they achieved this by cutting costs elsewhere.

This arrived with a dead pixel on my display and left clicking with the touch pad wasnt always responsive. At $899 (prime) this wasnt a terrible deal as it has a 144hz display and 16gb of ram, but I was able to snag a Dell G3 for $735 + tax that came with a free $150 visa gift card. (9th gen i5, 1660TI gpu, twice as much SSD storage, 8gb RAM, 60hz). Ill be using the $150 gift card to upgrade the G3 to 16gb of RAM and replace the 60hz display with a 120hz, which, in my opinion, makes the G3 a much better value-buy versus last gens Helios 300.

I love this laptop but the only issues I have with it is that it gets really hot, while the fans are adequate for cooling the system the keyboard gets very hot around the function keys, number keys and the qwerty key row gets hot enough to cause some discomfort. The battery life is pretty bad it promises 6 hours and Im lucky if I get 2 solid hours, however I typically keep it plugged in throughout the day as the overclock needs the laptop to be plugged in to work. The keys are amazing for it to not be mechanical probably the best non mechanical keyboard out there currently. All in all its a solid gaming PC itll run just about anything you want it, with the 2 TB hard drive extension theres enough space to hold all your steam library with ease and the 256 GB SSD runs the whole operating system very fast and with no issues, the last thing is this laptop comes with a face cam and internal mic but Ive not found any drivers to run them, thats the strange part of this laptop but its still 5/5.

I mostly use this laptop for graphic intensive games and desigining on unity and blender. The quality is fantastic and the render speeds are incredible. I have had no problems with it and would definitely recommend this laptop. Something to note is that the battery does die faster than expected but thats why you have a charger right?

    Greater than one week

The amount of gaming performance you get for this price i am blown away always wanted to get a gaming pc and this was it. Only thing that bugged me was after a few houers of gaming the machine would get warm and the keys would start to get hot and not be nice to touch on a hot day but besides that loving it.

I wish I could recommend this laptop, especially considering the specs offered for the price. My experience has been consistent stuttering, consistent overheating, and general underperformance even when undervolted. Ive tried everything I can think of, and while Im not an expert if youre looking at the reviews and thinking oh, an undervolt should solve everything well, youre wrong. Or maybe I just got really unlucky, because it has done nothing to resolve the thermal throttling on my unit. I use a cooling pad, I tried undervolting, tweaking settings based on other users suggestions, nothing helped. Even games from 2010 and earlier have the same issue. I dont know what happened, and I wish I could get my money back/a replacement. Spend you money, take your chances, but Im telling you right now, it didnt pan out for me. I probably wont ever purchase another Acer product because of it, after having been a pretty big fan of the Aspire E-15 prior to this. IF YOU WANT THIS FOR GAMES, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Impresionante, poderosa y bella Laptop.

Overall this is a great laptop packing a lot of processing power. Its on the heavy side, so if you use a shoulder bag your shoulders will complain. The display is fantastic. Sharp and clear, bright, and excellent viewing angle. The quality of the camera is equally good. And it packs a lot of processing power.

This is a fantastic laptop. The keyboard is very fluid, the screen is beautiful, and the CPU & GPU are extremely fast. Im loving the load times with the NMVe SSD as well. I researched laptops on Reddit for a few months before deciding on this one. For the money this will beat out most laptops <$1500. PredatorSense is pretty cool too in that you can overclock the GPU and increase fan speed super easy. Only two downsides so far that I see are no mini display port meaning I can only pull 60hz on a second monitor with HDMI. Its also a little on the heavier side. Two very small cons to a overall amazing computer.
