> 3 dayLet me start by saying you will not see a Gaming Laptop at this price anywhere. (829.00). This thing is very slim but a tank. It is built very well and feels sturdy. It is not touchscreen but it is 144hz.

Greater than one weekThis computer is fast! Love the boot up time and it could manage pretty much all the games that I loved to play, Dark Souls series, Nioh, Witcher etc. However, over the last 3 months Ive had terrible problems with overheating. Luckily I purchased an extended warranty and have been able to get the local Acer reps to try and help but as yet weve been unable to get temps, whilst gaming, down to regular levels. At present temps can reach 97 degrees for both the CPU & the GPU. Ive replaced the fans, replaced the thermal pasting, replaced the mother board but as yet nothing can bring down the temps. This affects the FPS rate on my games and the ones I mentioned earlier are now unplayable as the FPS rate has dropped to untenable levels. Ive had it for almost 2 years and in retrospect its given me more trouble than any other computer Ive had. Saying that its super fast and pretty cheap for the performance you can get. Maybe Ive been one of the unlucky ones but I do know that many have complained about the overheating issue. Its like putting a rocket engine in a Lada!

> 3 dayJust got this yesterday and it’s a pretty awesome. I was very skeptical about it but it w as between this, the omen and Asus. It’s very fast and it didn’t get hot for me. I played WoW for over 5 hours on high settings and it just got warm. Sound quality is really good too. Screen looks crisp and clear very easy to see everything. My only complaint though and it’s minor, is the keyboard lights are quite dim on certain keys and I don’t believe you can adjust it.

> 3 dayIt boots up quickly and my games all run smoothly on high graphics. It does tend to get a little hot, but from what Ive seen, the temperatures are normal for gaming laptops of this level. Get yourself a cooling stand and you should be fine. My only complaint would be how much of a nuisance up was to set up my Seagate HDD, but even that issue was solved pretty easily after a bit of searching on the Acer forum.

> 3 dayi havent had the laptop for even a year (5 months) and its already acting up. wifi i get speeds of 8mbps max and 400 tethered. but my almost 6year old i3 hp gets 300mbps on wifi. i am extremely disappointed with this product and the battery life is terrible, also Amazons tech support is a joke. they are going to refund the cost of the laptop but charge me a 150 restocking fee because i didnt return it with in 30 days. they will sell a charging cord for a phone and give 6month return window but a thousand dollar laptop gets 30days. both Acer and Amazon should be ashamed for putting out such a trash product. shame
