> 3 dayThis was a replacement for the original wireless sensor Model No. 00592TX that came with an AcuRite Deluxe Weather Center Model No. 01099 which they no longer make. The old unit was working just fine; but was looking rather weather- worn so I decided to replace it. I also ordered AcuRites Solar Radiation Shield sold here on Amazon which offers protection from the sun to give more accurate temperature and humidity readings. It should also provide protection from the rain/snow although its not advertised that way. Its very nice!!!!! (My old sensor always showed warmer temps in the summer by 15 or more degrees compared to other outdoor thermometers I had. So I put new batteries in the new Sensor, snapped into the place for it in the Shield, and hung it outside in the same place. However, no signal bars were showing on the inside display. The manual says maybe it would take 20 minutes to synchronize when the batteries were changed. I waited 30 minutes - still no signal bars. So I took the batteries out of the display and reinstalled them. Now I had signal bars; however, the display unit went into the 14 day learning mode!

06-06-2025I bought this as a replacement for the AcuRite Wireless Sensor I bought over 15yrs ago. It was worth the purchase over buying a whole new weather system. I also bought the cover for it to help keep it out of the elements. Here in Michigan, our weather can go through some extreme changes and sometimes some rough conditions.

> 3 dayI was able to pair this remote station with my inside station without any problem. The entire system works well. Over time the outdoor station will wear out and is easily replaced.

> 3 dayMy old one just quit after at least 5 years of use. Put batteries in the new unit reset the base unit and it provuded a read out within a few minutes. This is my outdoor sensor. Its hung under a carport so its protected from rain and snow. I can monitor temperatures for 3 rooms and the outside on my base unit.

> 3 dayThis is an exact replacement for a 17 year old transmitter for an indoor-outdoor thermometer (and other stuff on the inside part...). As such, it worked immediately, albeit not a simple plug-and-play (put in batteries and rehang). On the other hand, it was extremely simple to do the reset of removing the battery from the receiver, and then reset the date, month and time, along with the time zone. It instantly talked to the receiver, and I was finished. It was less expensive at Amazon, and was shipped free under Prime, arriving quickly, so Im very well pleased overall.
