Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

Good, I recommend purchasing one of these for all external hard drive users. It protects your data which can be hard to replace and/or expensive to restore.

Just purchased the 1TB Western Digital My Passport Ultra and this fits it perfectly. I put the hard drive under the band and the USB cord in the pocket.

I just needed something to protect my WD My Passport drive as I transported it to and fro in my backpack. This little fella is fairly bare bones, but it does the job. Heck, it even has a pocket on the inside to hold your drive cable.

Perfect for my portable hard-drive as well as the cable. It fits into my camera bag and holds extra USB cards as well.

The faux ballistic nylon has a nice texture and the molded plastic frame is very flexible but rigid enough to protect my drive. I have a WD Metal drive which fits with plenty of room to spare inside. The mesh pocket for the cable is very spacious as well. If youre looking for super svelte, however, this case isnt the one. It bulks up your drive a lot, but thats obviously in return for cable storage and great protection. Only concern: the flexible rubber zipper pull is really flimsy and looks like it could tear off or even melt off.

of the choices available, I chose this hard case for the added protection. I very satisfied with my choice. Drive fits perfectly, even inside the carry pouch... the mesh pocket holds cable and more... excellent value.!
