AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I love this CPU, this and the 3700X are top dogs in my book. Other CPUs that cost more, dont deliver enough of a boost in performance to warrant the price difference. I had the 3700X with the Wraith Prism RGB Cooler in my last system and I took it up just a little getting the 3800X in my new system. This Ryzen 7 3800X paired with the MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard and 2x16gb of RGB 3600 Ram really give you some outstanding performance.

This is an excellent CPU in this price range. I would say this is more than enough for anyone who needs great cpu performance for works like video editing, animation etc. This one performs like a champ. But since it has 8 cores and 16 threads and is a great performer, and the tdp is 105watts, it runs hot. Super hot! Especially if you are using the stock cooler (wraith prism) that comes in the box.

Dovevo metter su un pc muletto ma, visti i prezzi dei processori, mi è risultato più conveniente comprare questo 3800X rispetto ad un Ryzen5. Avevo già un 3900X, ed ero rimasto impallidito dalle sue prestazioni, quindi ho colto lofferta al volo per questo 3800X e non ne sono affatto pentito. E vero, in commercio ci sono anche i Ryzen 5xxx, però per lutilizzo che devo farne, e per il prezzo, ho preferito andare sulla generazione precedente senza alcun rimpianto. Il 3800X va benissimo, ha un consumo energetico piu alto rispetto al 3700X ma garantisce prestazini migliori. Rispetto ad un Ryzen 5600X il prezzo e simile, cambiano pero le prestazioni ed i consumi: il 5600X consuma meno, 65W, ed ha migliori prestazioni sul singolo core ma, visto che sfrutto molto il lavoro di tutti i cores, i 2 cores (4 threads) in meno hanno fatto indirizzare la scelta verso il 3800X. Entusiasta. Nei miei progetti era iniziato come un muletto, come avevo già detto, ed alla fine il risultato è stato lopposto...niente affatto pentito. Va che è una cannonata.

Tengo una duda con el codigo para canjear los juegos, nunca me llego nada. Donde debo revisar?. Excelente procesador por el precio el mejor del mercado. Lo recomiendo 100%.

Nice bump in performance over a 3600, roughly 500 more points in Cinebench. Also faster in games, as the burst speed is higher. I wouldnt purchase this for overclocking, as higher quality parts will probably be binned as XT.

Upgrade from the 8350 black oc to the 3800. It required a full rebuild but it was worth it for the price. Solid performance, temps stay in the 50 range even under gaming load with the hydro100i pro. I didnt risk the memory issue and went with 3200 ram so I cant say if that snag had been fixed or not.

This is (currently) a beast of a processsor from AMD, and if you can find software that takes advantage of all 8 cores, itll fly along. On a per-core basis its pretty fast, blowing my old replacement out of the water in terms of instructions per cycle, and Ive noticed a distinct improvement in frame-rates during gaming, just from moving the bottleneck from CPU to GPU, which will be the next upgrade. The stock cooler that comes with it is capable of RGB tricks which is nice, although in a HTPC setup its irrelevant, but its reasonably quiet until you start hammering it, at which point it ramps up to a fairly low-key hum that wont blow your wig off. In fact, with the lid on and it pushed back into the cabinet you can barely hear it when it gets hot under the collar.
