AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

The CPU has an amazing architecture, can multitask without a problem, everything is snappy, and is more than enough for current games and future games. However, I feel really uncomfortable with the temps, even though it’s rated for up to 95C, I easily reach 90C before losing score on Cinebench R20 if left on stock settings, but still reach those temps on normal cases too, like loading a game, and that’s with an 360mm AIO, so reaching those numbers quite easily with such cooler is quite perplexing, I had to lower the voltage with PBO with a guide to even begin to be around ~83C, even had to lower fan speed because they quickly went into the 80-90 degree speed. From what I researched, only the 5800X has this problem, so I would rather go with the 5600X or the 5900X than this, only bought this because it was in stock when I could purchase a CPU on the limited window of time I had. I was going to rate this a 4/5, but after thinking of the headache it gave me before just giving up and accepting those numbers, I decided on a 3/5.

Paired this with my AORUS 3080TI, 64GB RAM and am able to run 1440p max settings at 250fps average on Apex. Using a Corsair H150I 360mm cooler and under load I have not seen it get over 65 degrees C. Definitely a great CPU for the price if you do not want to get the 5950x.

This Cpu is a monster. Temps actually don’t go too high. Runs flawlessly and it’s fast. Happy I went with this cpu over others.

Ich war ja skeptisch, ob die Mehrleistung beim Gaming gegenüber dem Ryzen 5 3600xt wirklich auffallen wird. Benchmarks auf Youtube zeigten gleich viel FPS an (RTX 3060ti).

Coming from some one thats been an r5 1600x-2600x I was really badly wanting to go r7 this go around. I expected nothing less from it, it functions and performs what I expected it to over the r5. Fantastic cpu, this is why I like AMD.

I ordered this open box, at the time of order the condition was marked as good - upon receiving however, 8 pins were bent, some of them were almost bent completely sideways. I spent an hour with tooth picks and tweezers, and was able to straighten the pins and insert it into my Mobo. Luckily, it was recognized and worked.
