AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I originally ordered from Amazon but due to complications I didnt receive my order but I managed to get myself one from elsewhere regardless & its a great CPU.

CPU runs hot in comparison to older CPUs, but it can handle it without issues. It is a 125w cpu so invest in good cooling. Overall it is a great cpu but I deducted a star for price/value as I would have rather purchased a 5900x for the $100 price increase, but they are next to impossible to obtain at MSRP price. This replaced my i7 3770k and the performance upgrade is profound. I had been maxing out my old CPU and at full load the 5800x is reaching (at most) 25% load.

Great boost in CPU performance, even coming from a 3800X. The difference is noticeable both in single-tread and multithreaded intensive games. As many others mentioned, this part does run very hot, around 80-82C with a 360mm AIO cooler with properly applied paste.

Funcionando bien como actualización de mi anterior procesador, instalado en una Asus prime x470, reconocido sin problemas, recomiendo actualizar el BIOS de la tarjeta madre antes de instalar este procesador (si es posible).

Why would I say this processor is great yet not recommend you purchase it? Two words. Heat. Power.

Its early November 2021. The Intel 12th gen just released,. And other sellers are already selling this at just under $300. At that price, worth it. At the current price an Intel 12600K may be a better option (with Windows 11), even considering the higher mb and ram costs.

Vengo da un Ryzen 3700X e per upgrade ho preso il 3800x in un momento in cui era in offerta a 370€ contro i 480€ del sito AMD. Sui vari gruppi online mi sconsigliavano laquisto in quanto il processore a loro dire non presentava una grande differenza di prestazioni.

It is fast vs 2600x. Gaming is way mo betta

The processor is great but the only thing I dont like about it is heating. Its getting a bit warmer but I guess thats normal for AMD.
