AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I got this on sale at 30% off the MSRP and its an absolute steal. My last CPU i7-5820k was around this price range and its benchmarking at less than half of the 5900x. Now that AMD has good support for virtualization on the Ryzen series I wont be looking back at intel for a long time to come.

I came from Intel and this CPU really impressed me. However, it does run quite hot. I have been experiencing issues the community has been reporting. Very intermittently, I have sudden restarts (no blue screens) and have WHEA 18 errors associated with the CPU. While Im waiting to see if there is a BIOS or Chipset driver fix, I wanted to write this review to mention it here somewhere so consumers can be aware. Otherwise, if you are looking for a high-end consumer processor, this is it. Great for gaming and heavy multi-purpose work.

While I did not purchase this for gaming but specifically for 3D rendering and video editing. It performs quite well for gaming as if we didnt know it would. Would definitely pair with a higher end AIO Cooler or Air cooler. Dont cheap out on the MOBO either. Have been enjoying this CPU and has performed with no issues at all as of yet. Have had for a couple months.

A super-powerful cpu, I ran cinebench and it topped the chart, first time Ive ever had a cpu this fast.

I have recently bought this amazing CPU via amazon but the seller was Dig n Delve. I was impressed with the customer service and the delivery of this item as it came a day earlier. With regards to the customer service I spoke to Max, who was very helpfull and promp with replies. The CPU itself works amazing but it does need a good CPU cooling system installed. Highly recommended.

Great CPU nothing to complain. Completes everything without any hesitation. I didnt experience any issues with R9 5900x. Buy yours while you can. When you combine it with Nvidia 3080 and a dominator RAM it just an amazing machine.

Very happy with the purchase as I was eyeing to upgrade my 5 year old system and was on the hunt for some parts. I may call it lucky when my motherboard manufacturer decided to add a BIOS on my old mobo (X370) that will support the new Ryzen 9 CPU 5000 series. I was planning to get the 3900X as that was previously the max CPU my old mobo support. After I heard the news of the BIOS update I immediately update mine and viola the CPU wrked. It also helped that the 5900X was on an offer price when I bought it, cheaper than the 3900X. The CPU really performed better than I expected (my old CPU was 1800X). CPU computing was tripled, 3D rendering was a breeze, software multitasking is insane, and gaming was phenomenal. Best purchase I did in a year, now time to upgrade my RAM and will be hunting for it :)
