This CPU is phenomenal. I have it paired with an asus strix x570 board, g.skill neo 3600mhz 128gb ram, msi rtx 3060 12gb(only thing I could get my hands on) and with a h170i liquid cooler. This thing shreads anything thrown at it. I am still trying to find something that will throw it past 60% cpu usage. And even at 60%, you dont notice a thing. Everything is ultra fast and responsive.

The only thing i have a comment of is the delivery, the postman Just dropt it in my lettterbox, without of me knowing.

i was not expecting the difference to be like this since 3700x is a great and powerful CPU, after the upgrade, my PC is alot more responsive and games are smoother, sometimes in specific locations in games there was just a bit of stuttering due to the 1% lows with the 3700X, with this one, there is none, im very happy with this upgrade. considering the price now, if you can afford it, then buy it, nothing is called overkill and future proof!!

Ended up needing to buy a second one of these after the first one turned out to be the cause of constant crashing on a new pc build. No luck sending it back to this conpany but they were nice enough to sell me a replacement at full price. Next time I’ll go straight to the manufacturer

I decided to max out my Socket AM4 workstation (mostly for JavaScript work on Linux) now that prices are dropping rather than wait for the first generation of AM5 hardware to come out.

I used to care about my CPU usage. Why is svchost using 13% all the time? Why is TiWorker using 25%? Why is Taskmgr using 0% one second and 3% the next? What about all those Chrome tabs? Modern computers are such resource hogs!!

This product is great for having multiple chrome tabs open at once! My intel i7 could barely handle 20, but with my new R9 5950x I can easily get up to 100 without any overclocking, couldn’t be happier.

This processor strikes the right balance between gaming and content creation. Does very well on the CineBench comparison program. I have two now, and they both exceed my expectations. But the scalpers are getting most of them - wait for Amazon to offer them at the list price of $799.
