Be careful, I had to return a version of this because I eagerly clicked to buy the little icon for Adorama - even though its posting on the 5950x, its selling the 3950x.

Love the 5950 I have two of them. One for a gaming pc with 6900xt and one for my unraid server. Good temps and tons of cores!

Ive been an AMD user since I abandones Intel after the q6600 days. Bias aside, this processor is awesome. I upgraded from a 2700x simce I am getting into heavy video rendering for my drone videos and it is so much faster. Running the suite of 3dMark benchmarks with the processor cooled by a dark rock pro 4, my temps never got over 75c. Averaging about 300% the 2700x score for all CPU benchmarks.

Missing processor upon opening! shipping container was not damaged. Interior packaging looked different than display and was opened/damaged upon arrival. They should do a better job at securing these expensive items from their workers. Was a simple circle piece of tape holding the case together after all.

Not too happy is not ready out the box. Bricked my motherboard. And my two day paid shipping took 10 days to arrive. Not great considering 400 dollar overpriced.

Bought this to replace my 3900x as I wanted more single core performance and I was running a lot of VM’s. Needless to say this thing is a powerhouse.

Mark up is high. great for productivity. Id get 5900 for most non edge case scenarios though given the price difference. It has more cache per core, and that shows in a lot of workloads. Intel is also more compelling now thankfully.
